unless you take it at face value that he wanted to be here more than that. i think the agent really just believed jerry would cave / fold and that micah was too big to take a stance on.
 
The people who hated Parsons and wanted him traded won't believe Mulugheta or Micah. The people who don't like the trade won't believe Jerry.

But the one caught in all the lies has been Jerry, not Micah.
 
I'm sure he would play this season, this week with the back issue it's 50/50. If the Cowboys forced him to play there would probably be a grievance with the nflpa.
 
The panic mode set in when Micah and his dumbo agent realized the Tax hit he would take leaving Texas (even though it's only a couple million, lol), and reached out to settle. As much as Jerry is to blame so is the agent here, and everybody knew he was not going to give up a pay cheque just to pout and be a distraction.

I agree with this the cap hit is staggering. This would have hampered us for many years. I don't think we have any more big contracts on the horizon other than Smith. They will be much healthier financially and they will get three starters out of the parson's trade. Overall it makes the team better. We were going to be terrible this year anyways so its not like he would have had such a huge impact. they have a lot of options for the next two years which givves them a lot of flexibility. I am pretty tolerant of players but his antics were starting to get old. Well he got his money so life won't totally suck.
 
This whole Micah situation was a debacle; who really knows what side said what; all parties want to come off smelling like roses, which never happened.
I find it hard to believe that if Michael…I mean Micah was prepared to play under the last year of his contract for a paltry $21 million, he wouldn’t have taken the course of action he did.
While Micah was the most athletically gifted player on the team; he was a poor leader and a one-dimensional player. So this is really addition by subtraction and hopefully Dallas uses the first round draft choices wisely to improve the talent level.

This really angers me because from where I’m sitting it seems Micah was working for Dave and not the other way around. I feel Dave is the biggest villain here. If Micah wanted to stay then Dave should have made that happen, along with Jerry. Now I would be more angry yesterday but that back injury thing for Micah softens the blow. But it still makes me angry because I feel Dave is the reason Micah is gone.

I liked the trade and don’t believe Jerry.

The outcome is fine for the Cowboys but the snake oil salesman side of Jerry was in full effect from day one.

Reports say the parsons family were in tears when they found out he was being traded.....No one wanted to leave Texas. Worked out great for the agent getting 3% on a shorter deal but in the end... You don't sign a 3 years lease for the fam on a suite thinking your getting traded to Siberia.... Parsons played it wrong and we will see how he does in GB with no owner to grow with.

He was also building a new home in north texas.

Will be an interesting season to watch, Did GB build a title contending def? or did they actually evolved into dallas of the north?? We will find out Sunday night in big D in 4 weeks!
