I think you are right. The agent wanted to show who was in charge, and sticking it to Jerry has become a common theme. When he didn't get his way, my guess is he convinced Micah that a trade was in his best interests to save face. "We can get more money elsewhere, and these guys are easier to work with". Maybe it was, but given the circumstances, I think Dallas is in better shape now than they were before the trade. The agent calling an audible and completely discarding everything that had been worked out really screwed this deal up, but the agent saves face because of the contract worked out with Green Bay, leaving Micah looking like the donkey.

I was looking at that yesterday. Big hits coincide with Jordan Love's inflated numbers. If I remember right, their top 4 contracts in 2028 equal around $184m. Not much at DT to mitigate the run, and Micah's freelancing opening up big lanes will be exploited, drastically affecting GB's run defense. The fact that he left Dallas doesn't change the fact that he's an undersized DL with injury issues. They will need to bring in another DT to replace Clark. Big money already invested in other positions, the next best choice is through the draft. Big ticket DT's are generally found closer to the top of the draft. No first round picks for two years. How do you address the position? Remember, Micah, has been complaining for years about bringing in help on Defense. What do you imagine will happen when he figures out how cheap Green Bay is? This may not have been the best return for Dallas, but I'm having a hard time understanding why GB thought it was a good move.
