I wanted Micah gone because I don't believe he is worth what he was paid, but seeing these cope threads pretending we got a good return is weak sauce.
Call it what it is.
It's not weak sauce I said what I said When you look at the big picture Parsons didn't want to be here the last 72 hours up leading up to the trade it got to the point where Jerry did what was best for the team and it was a good return 2 first round picks regardless of how low they are could be packaged in any way possible to move up down or all over the draft or into future drafts along with plenty of money to spread around to our players which they've done this year already before and after the trade.
And then we get one of the better defensive tackles we've had in years He played very well in week one we only have a very small sample size so if some of us want to take that leap and say we feel right now it's a tie until further notice you can't say we got fleece because I watched the games Parsons had little to no impact on the outcome I didn't say it didn't have impact in the game but the outcome of the game the Packers were going to start 2-0 Whether he was there or not the dude could have stayed home but we'll see going forward what his impact will be as well as the impact of what we got but again you don't know that until three years down the road..
I realize we gave up a great pass rusher but when's the last time he led the league in sax not pressures sacks Multiple times we've seen that from Miles Garrett and TJY amongst others there are guys that I feel are still better than him he has not arrived yet I mean have you seen Nick Bose's career his stats in the playoffs and whatnot I mean you have to add the fact that these other guys have been defensive players of the year They are better than him right now so we did not get rid of the best defensive player in the league we just got rid of one of the top 5 defensive ends in the league..
I'm not belittling his production He's a great player he's a great pass rusher but he also belonged to a lot of the defensive meltdowns right here including games where mobile quarterbacks did exactly what Jalen Hurts did to us in game one they've done that right at Parsons so I'll act like if he was here things would have changed..
Think that's the point you're missing why you going to spend 45 plus million dollars on a defensive end if he's not truly changing your future We've already seen it for four years and we've also seen it not working so why not use the money and the draft picks to try to get better in other areas and maybe in that time. One of the other players we have will grow into that position....
You act like we're talking about sour grapes or being bitter and it's not true at all I think some of us are being real when he arrives if he gets a ring he ends up Defensive player of the Year if he gets 20 sacks And yeah that's what I'm expecting from a man getting paid that kind of money because even Henderson who just took only what 30 ish million, He had 17 1/2 sacks last year oh but those don't count because what what was his pressures? LOL
I realize he has an impact I do he's a great player a great pass rusher But that doesn't mean that this trade was not even right now and that somehow we didn't get a good return I think we got the best we could have gotten for that situation Jerry did not get fleeced this time this was a very good deal for both sides
No, I'm not using commas and I'm probably not even going to bother responding but I'm going to say it again because I think that some of you are the ones who are delusional....
And I own the man's jersey so this is not sour grapes this is not being bitter this is not trying to make myself feel better that's the truth from the way I see it and I'm not the only one...
