I wouldn’t. It’s not the point. I was trying to make . try not to be tunnel vision. I was one of the very few that advocated from Micah when he was initially drafted. The point is all said and done we made out.
 
1. I'm not sure they get these other players extended with Parsons contract.
2 The Packers final record isTBD, those two picks could turn into four top 100 picks with a few trades.
3 Time will tell but the few plays I've seen of Parsons setting the edge are going to take a toll on his body

It can work the other way too. Later round picks can turn out to be earlier round finds.

Yeah I would’ve trade Micah for Jalen Carter….

Kenny Clark is a stretch.

And to be honest? Cowboys might’ve been able to snag Kenny for a 3rd rounder. Micah had way more value.

Green Bay is eating $18 million this year in dead money also. This trade is probably going to work out for both teams. Green Bay believes they were one player away and gives us the ability to resign key players and have extra draft picks.

Clark definitely makes a difference. But eventually the LBs will be exposed. Murray is a proven liability over his career. Damone and Sanborn are somewhere in that below average - average range. Eberflus will have to use some smoke and mirrors until hopefully Overshown returns and possibly Liafau can emerge.

Outstanding post. Eberflus's reputation as a linebacker whisperer will be extremely challenged by Sanborn and Murray over a full season becausethey're both just not that good.

Fingers to remain crossed on the second level of the defense.

Micah’s deal, the way it’s constructed, easily allows for any of our signings.

Could have done all of them and him.

He doesn’t become an issue until 2029 when he’ll need to he restructured but that’s also after Dak is gone or restructured himself.

About that, GB (fans, coaches, and front office) loved Kenny Clark the person and his (past) contributions on the field and his continuing contributions off the field.

But GB also collectively regretted signing Kenny to his third contract before the 2024 season as it was a bad deal for a soon to be 30 player whose best years were behind him. Getting off that contract was almost certainly going to happen after the 2025 season.

Most critically, Clark was just not a fit for new (in 2024) Defensive Coordinator Hafley's scheme. Not Kenny's fault in any way.

That GB's run defense has given up a total of 97 yards in 41 rushing attempts over 2 games (against teams that featured formidable running attacks in 2024), is a pretty good indication that Kenny the person is missed far more than Kenny the player. Moreover, former 1st round pick Devonte Wyatt, who is getting more snaps in Kenny's absence, already has 2 sacks and had 7 pressures and 2 passes defensed (batted balls) on Thursday night against Washington.

There simply is not much thought being given at the moment to Kenny's departure.

All that said, there is no reason Kenny cannot be a solid contributor at DT in Big D.

Trades do not necessarily result in zero sum gains for one side or the other.

Well, maybe or maybe not ..............I know you are implying the value of the pick but what if the team w/o a 1st wants a particular player or a team wanna draft a QB to have 5th year option? If they both are willing to trade a 2027 1st.......that's pretty good value. Unlikely but not impossible at all...

I understood perfectly. They’re 1st round picks. Great chance to get great players despite you yahoos trying to down play it. Ask yourself “Why am I downplaying this?. They’re still 1st round picks.”
