It's pretty simple. Teams like Philly, KC, GB ect have a far better shot to make the SB than the Cowboys. The Cowboys might barley make the playoffs. If the Cowboys were a team favored to win or make the SB I could see your point. A team that has nothing to lose, and looking to the future should be playing it's unknowns more (rookies like Blue).

If they don't play Blue then it was a wasted pick.

This team is paying however many millions to the qb. It’s most definitely not a team looking into the future. As for better chance, sure, but no team has a good chance.
