Schottenheimer’s playcalling seems just as good as Mike’s was, if not better. And I was absolutely not rooting for Dallas to hire him.

The biggest issue right now is the defense leaving someone wide open every snap, and not ever pressuring the QB, and allowing the other team to run it down their throats. That is all not ideal.

This staff is mediocre.

There is a reason why a guy has been in coaching as long as Schotty and never could sniff a head gig.

Poor and aging talent is the main problem. They have poor talent defensively and have several injuries. They are not a dominant offense either by any means-no matter what they did against NY last week. Chicago has an atrocious defense-the Cowboys will not get many easier opponents than the one they faced today.

The issue is Eberflus

I agree he's one issue but the other is Jerry stitching these staffs together. W's and L's belong to the QB and the head coach...and as such...Schottenheimer should have the you-know-what to WALK if he has to pay for Eberfluke's shoddy defense. So to me, it's the whole lot...anyone bending to Jerry's will is part of the problem.
