I want Micah to have no impact on this game!

100% truth.

Over a long NFL season, you win or lose mostly because of overall talent. This 2025 Cowboys team is in the bottom third of the league in overall talent. They aren’t going to win very many games this year.

Coaching can certainly factor in too. The only way you can overcome a lack of talent in an individual game is to have outstanding coaching, scheme and game plan. But coaching and scheme cannot mask a lack of talent for an entire season.

We have a rookie HC and a completely new coaching staff. Maybe they can improve collectively and maximize the talent we have. Which would possibly translate to 6-8 wins. Which IMO does not help this team in the long run.

For this game Sun night, Micah won’t have to have 5 sacks to impact this game. He is disruptive in multiple ways. The key for the Cowboys to win Sun night is twofold:
1. Don’t get two scores behind or it’s over.
2. Be able to run the ball consistently.

That is our only hope. If the pack gets up early more than 7 pts it’s over.
Exactly right, Dallas needs a hot start like they had against Philadelphia also.A two touchdown lead early would really help as well. I watched the Packers last week they are very beatable but can Dallas play well enough to win .

thats it in a nutshell

We all know he's the focus of the game to the media, but during this week of planning, I'd love to see the Cowboys focus on beating the Packers but more importantly making sure Micah doesn't have an impact!

I want to see him chipped by our tight ends, and RBS, I want us to run the ball, and continue to run the ball at him if we can to show how bad he is against the run. When it comes to pass pro, making sure that our tackles have help when blocking him. When he played for us at times a single tackle with no help did well against him. Will things be perfect no, but let's not make him look all world! We got this!!!
Which side are you on, man? It seems like when someone says they want us to go 0-17 (or 1-16) you're with them but then you post Go Cowboys! stuff.

The biggest mistake is that we go out of our way to make sure Micah has zero impact on the game. Many other impacts on the GB D will kill Dak if we continually double/triple team him. If we want to prove a point, we shut down Love and their offence like Cleveland did last week, and show Micah wasn't needed here. Okay, did I just say that?

We all know that is his weakness, run right at him, until he proves otherwise.
I watched the Packers play the Browns last week, and Micah played the run just fine. In fact after watching him in 2 of his 3 games, He looks like he is playing with a lot more discipline that he did with Dallas, but no one played with discipline in Dallas. Perhaps it is the system, and the coaching in GB. Something for Dallas fans to think about.

As long as we can run the ball and have a lead he will have no impact. The kitten is only affective when a team is one dimensional
agreed, IF we can run the ball, start hot, and keep our woeful defense off the field, we can wear down Micah to where he will be ineffective later. We don't want Dak trying to throw it a lot. It makes us vulnerable. Like in 2014, we were able to be methodical on offense, chewed the clock by running it, and kept our woeful defense off the field. This team reminds me so much of our 2014 team. This game needs to be Marty Ball. Ground and pound in order for us to have a chance. This has a chance to be a Shotty signature win for us. Its going to take exactly what I said.

sounds like a Micah problem to me. Sounds like he was making business decisions in game while here. Maybe he had too many distractions in Dallas. Speaks to his character or lack thereof.

I totally agree, but sadly I do not think that is going to happen. With Booker out, we could see him line up and attack our backup, which I guess would be TJ Bass or Keegan (someone help me out if they know). I think Micah has a good game overall, but you cannot blame the man for wanting to be paid. He got a haul and I just hope we somehow take advantage of the draft picks we are going to get.

We'll find out in a few days, but I find it hard to believe that our TE and OTs are going to handle Micah Parsons when few others have been able to. Micah is going to move around and he is going to get some one on one plays against our OTs. Guyton struggles with inside pass rush moves. That is Parsons bread and butter. Steele struggles with quick outside moves and Parsons is exceptional there too. I expect to see lots of screens to Parsons' side of the field and some runs on obvious passing downs.

But keep in mind GB also has Gary on the opposite side of Micah. If they give Micah a lot of attention, then Gary gets to take on Guyton or Steele. The Packers have what I always hoped Dallas would get but never did.

no issue with a guy being paid. His antics and poor play when we needed him most were no longer worth it. The team did the right thing. That aside, our front office is hot dog doo.

What I saw in the 1st two games, Parsons was off the field on the early downs. Didn't see the Browns game. Still we saw teams run right at Parsons when he was a Cowboy, have to do the same, until he proves otherwise.

Yea, let’s focus on Micah and then see what his 10 teammates do to our O.
I doubt it will be pretty.

I mean don't give up either, continue to attack him, MAKE him go to the sidelines and look like the tired puppy he's been with us!!
You do what the Packers did, make him deal with that pulling lineman or TE.

coogs, luv you man but you probably ought not watch this GB game. You gonna be disappointed. Im with you, I wish he wouldn't but as poor of a team as we are, a few sacks will fall to him. I say that not because of our offense. We are good on that side. But I say that because our defense is so woeful, so we are likely to get behind early and turn 1 dimensional. Thats when Micah will hurt us. If somehow we win, it will be because of our running game keeping that terrible D of ours off the field. It would be a signature Shotty win.

I'm 100% on board with this I don't care what happens we don't want Micah looking like a human highlight film I just don't want to see it and that's as selfish as I am.

If I can't have good football to watch I at least don't want to be embarrassed by a former player and have it rubbed in.

I think we need to try and dominate with the running game this would be a good game to try Blue out.

Nobody has seen this guy nobody has tape on him and he could just possibly go off.

Just run right at Micah and tire him out don't give him an opportunity to do what he does best.

Pound him early in the game with double teams and chips wear him out even if we don't win and it's a new week anything can happen I think the Packers were probably supposed to beat the browns.

Beat him up and make him show the quitter that he is
its the only way. we will go how the running game goes.

He will always have impact, We don't want him direct the game or have a direct impact, but you realize if we spend that much attention on him Rashad Gary or whatever his name is, is going to eat,

I think he's leading the league in sacks right now, and it might be because of Parsons,

So if you pay that much attention to a guy, he's already impacting the game, but yes, we don't want him to be the hero of the game you can't allow someone like him when you're going knowing if you have to neutralize the guy, and then let him end up being the hero..

We need to call that out to all our fan base who seem to be still Parsons fans, who are hoping for Cowboys demise, and having Parsons have a monster game, you are not a Cowboys fan,

if that's what you're hoping for...

This is a rival this is the Green Bay Packers coming into our house and if you're rooting for the Packers just because of Parsons, you are never a Cowboys fan, you can't be ,there is no way in hell that a real Cowboys fan would want the Packers to beat the Cowboys, ever...

I can't say this strongly enough if you want Parsons to succeed that's fine if that's what you really want but not Sunday. Sunday night he needs to be booed and Jerry was right this dude deserved nothing..

he's been here four years who would do a tribute for a player who forced his way out onto a rival and was coming back, he only spent four years here,

what exactly did Parsons do that can be deemed special enough like any signature moments that can be made into a tribute?? other than his selfish egomaniacal personality, that he has already He thinks he's the best player in the NFL ,and he's not even the best defensive end.

truth/ facts

He already alluded to it we all know Myles Garrett is a better player but there's at least 10 pass rushers we can put in the conversation if you want to rank them where he's in the top five, that's fine but he is not the best until he wins Defensive Player of the Year, until he leads the league in sacks, in at least one year but multiple years, he didn't even set a Cowboy record, I believe that belongs to Demarcus Ware at least twice, where he's had more sacks than anybody else ever in Cowboys history for a single season,

so, he did nothing why does he need a tribute he does not need a standing ovation he needs to be booed..

If our fans don't understand that they're not Cowboys fans, I'm sick of the new fan base thinking the culture you should exchange jerseys and go out the night before for dinner and hang out and play golf the next day before they leave out of town you know what That's not how it should be working here they are rivals but if you want to do that that's fine that's between the players..

but for the fan base get it right Boo this guy Boo him hard but don't do it when we're on offense... Remember that you can Boo em away he's standing on the sideline, and his offense is on the field that would work for both of us..
