OK, so here's the deal.

The first person who says that our season is already over is a moron.

It's only game 4, and we're just now starting to find out what we don't want to be. And there is time to adjust.

Dallas needs this next win. If they don't ein, they need win 2 in a row to get back to 500. It can be done. Either way, they're going to need to get more help on defense. I'm afraid DweeberGoof is in over his head.

There's a lot going wrong so far with the Cowboys planning for 2025; I think the biggest mistake has been the coordinator hire.

So far, one thing I think the Cowboys got right was at least keeping Schotty around. He's got the personality that really works with Dak's personality. Similar leadership styles.

Anyway, one thing the Cowboys got right, obviously, was trading for GP.

Without him, and since they're clueless about how to use receivers that don't fit their ideal mold, the Cowboys would really be up a creek right now without a viable option to fill in for Lamb.

Personally, I think Holden would be a nice compliment to Lamb as well. Of course, if anyone pays attention to my posts then you know I'd be very happy to see Jalen Cropper get a shot as well.

Either way, this season would be on the brink of over, right now, I suspect, had we not signed Pickens this off-season.

I agree. We're also most likely not going to be the same team 4-5 weeks from now. That's how it is in the NFL. But we do have one problem. Injuries. By the time everyone gets healthy it could be already too late. Hopefully that Chicago reject of a DC we have can get it together soon. Maybe be somewhere near .500 until our players heal up. But yeah, without Pickens we'd probably lose every game.

I think you overrate the Cowboys talent.

Yes Eberflus isn’t doing a good job. But it’s not just him. Blaming it solely on him is a mistake.

The players aren’t good.

Diggs has lost a step. Elam sucks. Wilson isn’t good and Hooker is barely passable.

The linebacker group sucks.

The DE’s so far suck.

Kenny Clark is good and OSA is just ok.

At some point the players have to play. They’re all playing awful right now. And it’s not just “communication”. They are professional football players. They should know how to run cover 3 and cover 1. It’s not rocket science.

None of the young players from recent drafts are playing well right now.

Williams is underwhelming. Kneeland is good versus the run but can’t rush the passer if his life depended on it. Eze is struggling so far (he’s a rookie so it’s not his fault)

Liafau can’t get on the field.

Mazi sucks.

The truth is. The cowboys are not getting nearly enough productive play out of recent defensive draft picks. And unless/until those players start playing better. This defense is going to continue being bad.

Maybe Bland will help. I think he will at least help the coverage..

This is why he makes the big bucks. And, he's up beat and humble.

I admire your confidence in the outcome of this season. I do not share it, though. I could see being around the top of the draft without having to trade one of the first round picks.

I have now switched to the, "Tank Time...."

We really really need this game. With Lamb out, we need Bland back. These are two of our best players. We can't have them both out and expect to win this game. Green Bay matches up well against us anyway.

I'd add Blue to this game. We need big play ability just in case.

But, yeah, this team can evolve.

It's not so much confidence. I just know how the NFL works. Teams get cold, go through growing pains and some get hot when it matters.

That's why the league is so entertaining. Anything can happen.

Fans' views, especially our fans, change week to week. Mostly reactionaries. See the first two responses. They didn't even read the OP, obviously, just the title.

I thought this scheme would be more simplistic for the players. These players have some talent. I certainly do believe the scheme is why they're so bad.

The scheme made sense with Parsons' pass rush. But now, you need to blitz. Rushing only 4 d-linemen is not. gonna. cut it.

These players could be better with a different scheme.

I still think they add a defensive player or two via trade or free agency before the deadline.

The defensive scheme has to change. We can't have the Bladensburg races into the endzone every other play. I too think we can beat GB.

No argument here. But, maybe Goof's scheme will be better with Bland. The secondary has some serious issues for sure.

come on get your hopes up. lmao.... maybe jerry will figure it out this time...

and don't forget to get your stupid "gear" crap... Gear, lmao..........

If you are banking on dak to throw 50/50 balls to Pickens to save the season the then you've already lost.

Or, here's the deal, anyone that thinks the season isn't already over is really not paying proper attention.

Pretty well sums it up
