Dallas Ranked 1 in Offense and Dead last in Defense

The defense is going to improve. Overshown on the way, Diggs looked much better last night, Bland recovering, the pressure was better. Hopefully with Hooker out we can see some better play at Safety
 
When does all of our corners come back?

Overshown would be nice to have.

I wonder how cheap Miami would give Minkah Fitzpatrick away for.

They could have a fire sale if they lose tonight.

It feels like 2020 doesn't it where Prescott is doing everything impossible the offense is doing everything it can even though they made some mistakes they've had dropped passes and a couple of fumbles but yeah they're rolling where I have full confidence on our offense and have zero in the defense...

Right it's sad that we can wish for a mid level defense an average rank 16 would be really nice..loll

If you look at 2020 that's what it feels like the offense was like on an MVP caliber pace before Prescott got hurt as far as his numbers were insane But the defense was Mike Nolan and it never got better and everyone kept getting hurt but maybe this is more like last year and Mike Zimmer took 1/2 a season and getting some of his players back and then he got it rolling so maybe just maybe we can right this ship here in the next couple of weeks..

There's a lot of players coming back but Overshown is the one that's gonna change this defense he is a guy like Parsons that has so fast so instinctful make so many plays that it will help matt immensely...

Correct that's why the Eagles game we lost because the offense dropped some balls and fumble same thing in the Bears game the the mistakes just kept coming but either way we were losing those games because the defense wasn't going to make enough stops that's the problem around here you can just spot our offense 28 before the game starts and we probably still going to lose because the defense just never stops giving up points.

So yeah there'll be times where our offense will go through some rough spots but IA 100 percent in confident in our offense they are one of the better offenses in the league especially when Lamb gets back we had three backups on the offensive line by the end of that game and we still running the ball well They protected well enough against that defensive front remember it's one of the best in the league

They can just find an average defense you know by mid season I think the Cowboys can make a little run i'm not talking about a big run I'm just saying maybe they can threaten for at least the second wild card I know I'm being a little ahead of myself here but it it that's what it would take we need at least an average defense..

We have to HOPE Overshown comes back and is the impactful player he was before his second terrible injury. BTW this defense remind me of when we had Mike Nolan lol. Just terrible.

That's just ridiculous he wasn't worth the money then he's still not worth the money he he lost to the Browns that's right he had zero sacks last week he just now was on the defense that gave up 40 points to the lowly Cowboys he didn't do anything to help them win the game absolutely so ridiculous that you still think he would have helped us win when he was part of the Green Bay Packers loss in the playoffs Or do you forget games like that where he was there but not there...lmao Can tell you this right now with a straight face He's a great player but I think the Packers would have the same exact record right now with or without him he has not had one of those games where he was impactful enough that you can look and say OK it was him is to the reason why they won the game absolutely not not won yet he hadn't had a signature win.... Most people will say the Cowboys still made the right choice in the moment right now I still say even though our defense needs help and it will get on track at some point the trade was still the best thing for the team and that is a fact..

I'm pretty sure I just said that in the same exact thing he replied to I said 2020 and Mike Nolan but I think it could get back on track like we did last year I think eventually Matt will figure it out...

Yeah only if the Packers pay half his salary no way I'd want him back here Not for any draft pick he's still not worth the money you guys don't get it that's a lot of money to pay a defensive end that's quarterback money for a guy who's not as impactful as he's being touted as he's a great player he's a pass rush specialist he's very good he's great at times but he is not worth any of that contract that's why Jerry thought somewhere between 40 and 42 million was where the number was with certain guarantees They he forced his way out of here and I don't want him back not for any money not for any reason...

This is the same thing we had to go through as Mavericks fans with Luca Doncic except for the situation was completely reversed he wanted to be here he was forced out of here the man overnight basically woke up with a bag over his head and they shipped him over to the Lakers and the fans had no idea the coach had no idea I want Luca back I would take Luca back Luca was a Mavericks fan he didn't ask for a trade The other guy forced his way out of here overpriced himself and if you look at last night that's just basically what he's been for us..

Not knocking the offense, although it did have its struggles in the second half against the Eagles and Bears, but I wonder if it would be No. 1 in yards if you take out the overtime yardage. I think we've played in the only two overtime games this year.

Truth is, the offense wasn't good enough against Philly (20 points) or Chicago (14 points). Sure, the defense was worse, but that just shows that we're probably going to have to average around 30 points a game to have a chance.

I expect it to improve as well, BUT, at best the improvement will only be up to our norm, which is middle of the pack, not playoff quality. That's all Jerry ever shoots for and that's the best we can ever hope for.
 
This might be a unique occurrence after 4 games not only for Dallas, but for the entire league. Somebody like Bob Sturm who knows the Free Masonic handshakes and passwords to the advanced research databases should look into it.
