Dallas Ranked 1 in Offense and Dead last in Defense

Yeah only if the Packers pay half his salary no way I'd want him back here Not for any draft pick he's still not worth the money you guys don't get it that's a lot of money to pay a defensive end that's quarterback money for a guy who's not as impactful as he's being touted as he's a great player he's a pass rush specialist he's very good he's great at times but he is not worth any of that contract that's why Jerry thought somewhere between 40 and 42 million was where the number was with certain guarantees They he forced his way out of here and I don't want him back not for any money not for any reason...

This is the same thing we had to go through as Mavericks fans with Luca Doncic except for the situation was completely reversed he wanted to be here he was forced out of here the man overnight basically woke up with a bag over his head and they shipped him over to the Lakers and the fans had no idea the coach had no idea I want Luca back I would take Luca back Luca was a Mavericks fan he didn't ask for a trade The other guy forced his way out of here overpriced himself and if you look at last night that's just basically what he's been for us..
His base salary is not really that bad. He will not see any of that money in 2029.

I'm not sure if this is good news or bad news, but the offense overall has not played that well. The Cowboys are literally thriving on offense because Dak has played some of the best football of his career in 2.5 of the 4 games so far. We need better OL play (especially against the pass) and more consistent results from our receivers. The good news is that is very possible. The bad news is its simply not realistic to expect Dak to play at this high of a level all season long.
Well injuries to two interior guys do not help and the Tackle situation last night was weird.

Did we have a week off of Ferguson sucks, or did I just miss it?

Story of the Cowboys. The passive FO will allow an obvious sore spot to fester. If we have a number 1 offense, you would think they would bolster up that defense and get in some DC to see if they can get SOMETHING better than what we're seeing. Instead, the solution will be to be passive and put it on Dak and trash him when he isn't scoring 40 every game.
You're not letting anything They brought in Clowney they know they have at least four corner backs and Overshown coming back very soon so maybe they're trying to give Matt a chance to subtle changes each week they're trying to figure it out It took Mike Zimmer 1/2 a season last year and they did get it figured out I don't know if you know this but they were kind of bad the first half of the season as they got players back and the players learned the defense and the defensive coordinator learned the players They led the NFC or it could have been the NFL in Saxon turnovers I think it was just the last half of the year but it could have been the whole year last year yeah Mike Zimmer's defense looked just like this when you got a brand new coordinator with a bunch of players some of them are not his trying to figure it out so I'm trying to take some time and maybe if we could tread water it'll get better..

They're not doing this on purpose they know they have a bunch of players on IR that are coming back soon some of them might be back next week... The big piece we're missing overshown will help our linebackers instantly but we don't know when he's coming back But I think they need to go to Matt and make a change at linebacker and get Sanborn and possibly Murray just sometimes they need to be inactive they need to sit them down and make them think about it and get Liafu James And Clark most of the snaps until then.

The last game they they did they tried to use Thomas and Bell more at safety they brought in James at linebacker to help I don't know how many snaps he got but they're trying each week it's subtle but one of these games at some point it's going to click hopefully we have to have hope but they're not just sitting around waiting for it to just blow up you can't just do it overnight....

I understand it looks like that but I also understand when you have a new defensive coordinator and a new defensive scheme and you're missing players and the other players that you have are trying to learn the system and he's trying to learn the player sometimes it takes a little bit We saw it with Zimmer last year and it did get fixed I mean it was already too late because we lost Prescott but if we could tread water and keep our offense moving along until the defense at least gets average then we still have a chance...

But I understand why it looks like that to you I do it's looks terrible but it's not like they're they're not doing nothing even though it looks like that They're having meetings they're doing what they can and each week they'll probably make another move or change and they're trying to figure it out..

whatever, give us a great defense and then the offense falls off the cliff...

The season may very well be over before they come back.

The second half of our season was soft last year. Not sure that counts as they figured it out.

The big issue is the tackle situation. The two interior backups while not great at least gave you very solid performances. Steele/Guyton both remain liabilities in the pass game.

I wondered about our OL before and whether it was lack of talent from them or the complete lack of a RB. That question has been answered we now have guys who can follow blocks. The defense is forced to take the run into the equation. To me Dak is playing well because the defense has no idea what to expect on any given play. Huge factor. Dak fakes the handoff now and then just stands there with time. Last year he would have been on his backside because the other team just ignored the run.

Where does green bays d rank? They also gave up 40. Or is that not the narrative we wanna talk about? See there's two sides to every story.

It doesn't matter It's over the hypotheticals are over the talk about Parsons should now end,

until he does something in the playoffs or wins a Super Bowl ring.... So in Parsons somehow elevates his game to where he's Lawrence Taylor and he dominates throughout the playoffs and gets himself a ring then we can talk about how this might be a small regret but then we need to find out what the Cowboys are going to get with the drop picks what they're going to use the money on how both teams are going to finish this is far from over this is a 3 year evaluation but right at this point it still was absolutely 100% the best move for the Cowboys and Parsons everybody got their way...

We still stand by the fact that one he's not coming back two his money is big it's back loaded we don't want it we don't want the money we we need the money for our own players we need to drop pick for new players We're utilizing Clark he has changed the center of our defense he's made OSA better we all still agree and I'm not saying 100 percent of us that the trade was necessary and it was the correct thing to do it should be case closed now He has done nothing special for the Packers I promise you and I'm saying this with a straight face you put me on a lie detector the Green Bay Packers would have the same record this year with or without him because he has not done anything up to this point and that's why I say up to this point To make him worth that kind of money.

Jerry saw this I wanted the guy back but when he started moving the needle from 40 to over 45 and then with all the antics on the sideline the stuff you saw last night where he had to take a lot of plays off to get his breath only came in an obvious pass rushing situations late in the game trying to get that late stat line filled up come on dude you don't know the reality he's a great pass rusher but right now he did not wreck any game for the Green Bay Packers yet and he did not beat the Cowboys that was supposed to be his revenge game and the Cowboys knew exactly how to wear him out....

Revenge game his revenge game is it's ironic his defense gave up 40 points sorta reminded me of the other Packers game when he was on our side giving up all those points that is Jerry's point that's what we're saying how much is he impacting the game Yes he's a very good player yes they have to double him chip him they have to pay attention to him like any other really good defensive end in this league you can't guard him one on one that's a fact But there are players out there that even when you do that to them still have signature games throughout the year and in the playoffs...

Nick Bosa is one of those guys look at his regular season records look at his playoff records But when you talk about Reggie White Lawrence Taylor they made their names not just in the regular season they did it in the playoffs I'm just being honest parsons has not arrived because there are defensive ends in this league right now that are better than him yes he's in the top five but that's Jerry's point how much was he really worth how much would it hamstrung the team so why would we want him back it's over the hypotheticals are annoying...

Very good point. Even this year where Dak has struggled has been in obvious passing situations like the bulk of the Bears game.

It's not the seasons never over maybe you don't remember last year but even with Cooper Rush when the defense got on track and they started running the ball up until that point where they had that muffed punt or whatever it was I can't remember it was against Washington or Cincinnati that pretty much ended the wild card run but we were still mathematically in that year it's not over this is a long season lots of things can happen to other teams how do you know that the Eagles are not going to lose Jalen Hurts and then crumble I mean look at the Giants yesterday they lost neighbors that could happen to other teams they can go through the same things we go through but they can go through it later in the year and we can get on track later in the year it's never over until it's over and there's so much time left and I saw our defense get on track last year and if we can keep Prescott healthy keep either have George Pickens or Lamb as targets and run the ball the way we've been running no it's not over we still have a shot at that wild card and till then we need to shut up about it.

Up with the loser mentality we've seen other teams start slow hell Cincinnati's done it almost every year and then somehow find a way to get back in it There's always a chance in this league with 17 games and two wild card spots that you can get in...

So why don't we sit back and wait just like you guys said we were gonna get our butts kicked last night embarrassed ran out of her own building prescott was gonna have a career game none of that happened the Eagles game same thing we were supposed to get blown out everybody's evaluations are just opinions and my opinion is there's still a shock and until we're mathematically eliminated I'm tired of hearing it it's never over it's not how you start it's how you finish....

Yeah, I knew the offense would be good. But I had not idea Eberflus would be so bad.

I would easily give up a 3rd round pick to get Micah back. Absolutely no question.

Even a gimpy Overshown is going to be a marked improvement from what we are running out there now. That is how bad it is...
I sure hope we don't rush him back. This team is trending towards 8-8-1 even without the tough part of the schedule coming up. Ease him back in and have him on a pitch count similar to how the Packers are doing with Parsons as he works his way back into shape. The goal should be next year for him.

Aka 2014. Remember how we looked back then? We can win games like that. We need to. Keep our defense off the field.
That is what they were trying to do and it almost backfired I didn't like the conservative play calling it was very weird but I realized what they were trying to do is not have the game over in the first quarter they were trying to run at Parsons they were trying to bang on the defensive line a little bit and not show their hand early is very weird very conservative very irritating to almost look like your goal was to punt like be physical don't make an early mistake let the game kind of come to them and kind of figure it out kind of like a boxing match where you do a bunch of jabs at first you're trying to figure out what the other strategy is going to be and then you open up the playbook..

I don't agree with it but it actually kind of worked It was a bad first quarter of play calling it was scared you remember I mean we were all mad about it but in the end I think it did work 'cause they did kind of look like they made Parsons tired they made that defensive line look like they were getting tired already in the 3rd quarter And as the game came to them then they opened it up.

I said I don't know if I agree with any of that because it was horrible play calling it was the most conservative odd game plan to start the game but I almost believe they did it on purpose Not that they thought they'd win that way but I think they didn't want to lose the game in the first quarter...

So they ran the ball a lot and even if it was punts yeah it didn't keep the defense off the field but that's what they were trying to do Be physical run the ball not do anything risky And it almost worked..

But this more reminds me of we started the season three and five in 2018 and everybody thought it was over they made one move with Omari Cooper finished 10 and 6 and got in the second round of the playoffs it can turn around in a hurry with a few moves it doesn't even have to be a trade or a free agents all these players that we have coming back and maybe Matt figures it out....

Thing that needs to happen though is we need to keep Prescott healthy until the defense arrives they just need to become mid level we'll take average..

They've been trying to do that they've been running the ball But at some point when the game becomes a shootout you can't just keep running the ball that's why we haven't got to that Magic 30 number And I was hoping for 35 runs last night the game dictated that you're gonna have to start throwing the ball....

You can't protect your defense so much at some point you're then going to have to just say we're going to have to go get 30 or we're going to lose and that sucks but that's the reality of it right now...

this defense just can't make a stop. every team is thinking 4 downs, because the defense is going to give up a big play. it was frustrating to watch. they make 2 plays and then give up a big play. drive after drive. 1st down after 1st down.

this is not a playoff calibur team. they live and die by the offense to have a chance to even be in a game. if the offense has a slow day, we are cooked. Chicago game was a great example.

Said during the off season that the Cowboys offense should have no problem putting up big numbers with Pickens, Lamb, and Ferg. Dak should have great numbers. Also said the OL wouldn't be as bad as everyone expected but was not happy with the RB situation however, that has proven me wrong lately. I believe through the first 3 weeks Dallas led the league in yards before contact.

Now I knew the defense was going to be bad but did not expect it to be this horrendous.

The only thing that worries me with the offense is that Dak is a very streaky QB for the majority of his career. Will play MVP level for a few games then look pedestrian for a couple and repeat.

The low IQ cowards will hate you for posting this and will try to get you benched.

All jokes aside, I hope the defense starts to improve fast because they are clearly costing us opportunities during the game.
