Because their opponents, obviously including the Cowboys, are not good enough to beat a team that is clearly struggling. They’re 4-1, they’ve played 4 teams that were in the playoffs last year. Three division winners from last year. Going into week six the only team they’ve played that has a losing record was in the Super Bowl last season.

Instead of what’s wrong with the Eagles, what’s wrong with the teams they’ve played? It was nice to see the Broncos show up and beat them. And that was barely. Now it’s the Giants turn tomorrow night. Cripes, if Philly gets any worse they’ll win the rest of their games.

NOTHING is wrong with them, thats the way the NFL goes. CeeDee drops 3 or 4 balls right in his hands, and the rams somehow managed to allow 2 blocked FGs, one returned for a TD. In 2014, we were 12-4 and we EASILY could have been 8-8 or 7-9. The difference between those records is 2-3 plays per game.

2 years ago the mighty Iggles went 10-1 to start the season. Winning game after game exactly like they have done this season. Then those law of avgs caught up to them and they went 1-5 to finish the season. They promptly got their arses handed to them in the wold card game.

KC - Missing their top 2 WR and Kelce t'ing up a int instead of catching a TD.
LA - Stafford missing a ton of easy wide open throws. And not blocking for FGs.
Tampa - Nothing too crazy here. Baker with the boneheaded play towards the end, but they were playing catchup.

I mean, the reasons are there. It's just unfortunate. The Eagles were ripe for several losses, and outside of Denver teams tripped over themselves to give them a win.

Answer me this: Just how often is a TE the primary ingredient to a super bowl? You have Kelce and Gronk. 2 HOF players. Who else?

Super bowls are won w/ interior DL disruptions.

wow..... the point is pretty clear. This Iggles team is winning damn close games, just like they did 2 years ago. Not because they are so powerful, but everything just went their way. Over the course of a season, things even out, and when they do, you will see the same thing that happened two years ago. So when asking about the Iggles imploding.... yea, it could EASILY happen, as they just arent that damn good.

I think the division still belongs to Philadelphia, then Washington. The Cowboys’ defense is porous and thus have not been able to close out any teams with the exception of the winless Jets..:no great feat. Moreover, two of their five games have gone to OT…not very impressive thus far. Will reserve judgement until Dallas plays the Lions, Chargers, Chiefs and Broncos.

So you’re suggesting the Eagles are not playing well, are “ripe for several losses”, but every team they’ve played isn’t playing well either? Have the Eagles receivers not dropped any passes? Has Hurts not been picked off? Has he made no “boneheaded” plays? Have the Eagles not had to play “catchup” against a good team this season?

It’s NFL football. I recall last year they were 3-2 after five games with their bye already behind them. Yeah. They stink. Giants are lucky to be playing them two of the next three weeks.

When a team’s head coach’s worst year is 11-6, qualifying for the playoffs, and literally goes to the Super Bowl every other year, teams should be prepared for a challenge when playing them.

This season would be their “not in the Super Bowl” season. Will it be the Cowboys Super Bowl season? If it isn’t, who cares what the Eagles do?

But things in Philly are getting interesting. Hurts, Brown, and Barkley had a meeting that was picked up by the media. All three say it was just friends and teammates talking about getting the offense on track, but this comes a few days after both Mailata and Johnson spoke out in a way that denoted displeasure with the offense, despite the team's current record.

Famous Chiefs-stan Nick Wright, sharing a mic with Cowturd, suggested that their OC, Patillo, is on the hot seat. Sirianni knows his team is too talented to be playing the way they've been playing. He also knows that ownership in Philly holds people accountable.

In 2022, Sirianni gave up play calling after seven or eight games. The offense took off all the way to the Super Bowl.
In 2023, two new coordinators were allowed to stay all year, and the NFL figured out their high school schemes by week 11. The team tanked in the first round.
In 2024, the unfairly maligned Moore and Fangio took over, and we know what happened.

Part of this might be that we haven't played the best competition in most games, but no team put up these yards and points by accident. Our offense is damn good and can carry us past 2/3's of the league even with the current state of our defense. Is it sustainable? Maybe not through the entire back end of the schedule, but we're probably not dropping 30 points a game every week anyway.

Second, while our schedule is tougher the second half of the season, this is when our wounded on defense return. Overshown will be a massive boost to a LB corps that seems to be one of the worst tackling units in the league. Bland's return will be a boost to a secondary that needs help, to be kind. The return of both players should help the defense greatly.

Should Philly falter, the Cowboys are the team in the best position to take advantage of their fall. Strange things have happened in the past, so who knows what the future holds?
