These type of post literally have me rolling. We beat a 0-5 team and we are contenders. Look no further than this fan base as to why Jerry will never change.

They find ways to win close games. The complete opposite of Dallas who will snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory whenever given the chance.

It seems every season the team plays a poorer team and trounces them, and the press starts the, "Is Dallas for real?" questions. They seem to go wild with that idea. Then the team crashes and the press makes fun of them. The issue was press created, and the results were something that could have been anticipated. But the press, needing a story, runs that Is Dallas for real line up the flag pole.

And when the press starts their usual BS, people on this site call them out.

Now here we are with this team is beating the Jets. Frankly they should have posted over forty on that team and held them to 13 points.

Then this thread pops up about winning the East.

Look at the defense against the Jets. That game was far too close for what this offense is capable of. And the problem lies with both sides of the ball. The offense looks like it has teeth, but again, it should have embarrassed the Jets. The defense couldn't stop a troup of girl scout from running after the ice cream man's truck.

Now this thread is at three pages.

Let this team get healthy, and then beat someone that wins games before surmising this could be a team that wins the east.

However, if he wants to have any sort of decent career, the constant running needs to be drastically reduced. He's not built like Hurts who is build like a RB. Daniels is 6-4/210, no way he can keep on running for 800+ yards per season. Going to turn himself into RGIII if he doesn't adjust.

I just read an article regarding the issues the Eagles' offense is having. AJ, Hurt and Braskley met a couple of days ago. For whatever reason, they are out of syn but are 4-1, most coz of a couple of good breaks and their defense.

It's ironic how their defense is carrying their offense and our offense is carrying our defense. As for the Commanders, Quinn's defense never holds up........

We heard the exact same thing.about Philly this time last year. And it still culminated in the Super Bowl for them. No comparison to 30 years of failure which is a threat to no one.

Winning vs. the best that the NFL has to offer is the only thing that really matters. Until then, relax.

We know Philly is good, but I for one am impressed with Washington. I thought the Chargers would whoop them coming off a bad loss at NY, but they laid the wood to LA. I'm afraid that Daniels is the real deal. Not seeing any sophomore slump from him.

He is the real deal but the kid has a frail body. Very thin. That’s our only hope. I can’t help but like the guy even though he wears a God awful uniform every week. Wash has a really bad secondary though

Before anyone decides to hurl insults at me, Philly is still the team to beat and most likely sitting atop the division when it's over. Our defense may put us in a hole we can't recover from. Washington doesn't have a good overall roster and the Giants are, well, the Giants.

But things in Philly are getting interesting. Hurts, Brown, and Barkley had a meeting that was picked up by the media. All three say it was just friends and teammates talking about getting the offense on track, but this comes a few days after both Mailata and Johnson spoke out in a way that denoted displeasure with the offense, despite the team's current record.

Famous Chiefs-stan Nick Wright, sharing a mic with Cowturd, suggested that their OC, Patillo, is on the hot seat. Sirianni knows his team is too talented to be playing the way they've been playing. He also knows that ownership in Philly holds people accountable.

In 2022, Sirianni gave up play calling after seven or eight games. The offense took off all the way to the Super Bowl.
In 2023, two new coordinators were allowed to stay all year, and the NFL figured out their high school schemes by week 11. The team tanked in the first round.
In 2024, the unfairly maligned Moore and Fangio took over, and we know what happened.

Jalen Hurts is now, going back to his college years, on his eight different OC.

If Philly falters, what team benefits the most? IMO, our Cowboys. Why?

Two reason stand out that point in that direction. First is that our offense is simply on fire. Part of this might be that we haven't played the best competition in most games, but no team put up these yards and points by accident. Our offense is damn good and can carry us past 2/3's of the league even with the current state of our defense. Is it sustainable? Maybe not through the entire back end of the schedule, but we're probably not dropping 30 points a game every week anyway.

Second, while our schedule is tougher the second half of the season, this is when our wounded on defense return. Overshown will be a massive boost to a LB corps that seems to be one of the worst tackling units in the league. Bland's return will be a boost to a secondary that needs help, to be kind. The return of both players should help the defense greatly.

Should Philly falter, the Cowboys are the team in the best position to take advantage of their fall. Strange things have happened in the past, so who knows what the future holds?

The door may or may not be open, but facts are facts. Unless the defense finds a way to make huge improvements soon, this Cowboys team will finish third in the division. The offense has been great, but even if they maintain that all season, which is unrealistic, the team will not win enough games. The defense must be rebuilt in the offseason.
