They likely have a close game in Denver, but should beat Arizona and Las Vegas. If he waits, we likely are sitting at 5-4-1.

I could be wrong, but I thought they had to either open the 21-day window or keep him on IR for the rest of the season. This just allows him to return within the 21 days and start counting against a roster spot after that. they can keep him as long as they want but they would have to release someone to accommodate.

He waits and you take up a roster spot, whether or not that matters? As much as I want this kid out there, I will cringe each time he's out in the open field after that injury and coming back so soon.

I believe that is the case...would have to release a healthy body that will likely be needed due to injuries as the season goes on

Dallas really needs all three of these games if they want to have a fighting shot for the playoffs.

Not saying it's impossible if they drop one or two of these, but the schedule gets tough down the stretch and it's hard to pick enough to get to 10 wins without getting to 6-3-1. These three games could very well make or break the season.

Gives teams a three week window to see if a player can practice and return to form without having him take up a roster spot.

Also it prevents teams from stashing players on IR. If they aren't added to the active roster before the 21 day period ends they are forced to miss the entire season.
