Dak's message to both the Offense and Defense: "Shut up, and Step up!"

After they turned it over we got to the 1 and went backwards. We punted 5 times. We were 4/11 on 3rd down. Dak was 19/31 for 188 yards, no TD, 2 Int, 51.5 passer rating. Take away the scrambles and we ran 25 times for 79 yards, 3.2 YPC. Did the defense suck, absolutely. That offense isn't going to win too many games though either. And it happens most times when we face a good defense. Having a bad defense just puts up a smoke screen for the offense.

People get mad when many of us just roll our eyes and laugh when he hear this "Top 5, MVP" crap.

We can only report on what we see and unfolds on the field . And for most of the season our offense has been top 5 caliber.

Now as we go thru our toughest part of schedule against stiffer opponents and if this offense continues to sputter as we saw against Denver then we will report as such.

But like we saw against Wash last week when our defense makes stops and we’re able to get the lead it does tend to support the offense.

With our defense there’s so much pressure on the offense to practically need to score on every possession. And like we saw Sunday tends to lead to needing to force the issue sometimes which can lead to unforced errors.

Offenses and defenses can often feed off of each other for momentum. And no doubt not punching it in for a TD on that first possession after Denver TO was critical.

That's cool. I remember the 85 to 90 hour weeks during football season. Luckily, I had a great staff, and a wife that loved football as much as I did. 72 hours...you have my respect.

But will they use those picks for defense. This GM has neglected the defense to surround the QB with first round draft picks. I expect Jerry to squander those picks on offensive line.

I too would prefer he get into some faces on the sideline and chew some guys out WHEN he is playing well and others aren't. He rightfully didn't specifically call out any person or small group on the team, it was directed at the whole team. Yes, he should chew guys out on the sideline, on the field, and in the locker room, but those guys should chew him out when he has a game like he did too. Just don't claim that when he has a bad game he doesn't step up and own it. He does.

I am saying this as someone who has criticized him a lot in the past.

Where are the results?

Empty words are meaningless when repeated without actions to back them up

Put up or shut up and Dak just doesnt put up so it is shut up time

I agree. Its hard to have faith in them utilizing it to address the defense.

Their mindset is use FA to stock the D using cheap over the hill veterans or 1st rd busts......its been their MO and the results are undeniable

Not at all. I was just saying that by your own words they shouldn't even hold each other accountable and should just shut up period. I never said he improved after he said he had to do better. I simply stated he is correct in calling out the entire team without specifically finger pointing specific groups publicly. That doesn't mean he should be immune to the same criticism by teammates.

You appear to be the one butthurt because I didn't deign to blame it all on Dak.

I've pent the fast few years castigating Dak for his choking, so why would I be butthurt? You just seem incapable of rationally parsing through what was actually said. That's on you, not I. Have a nice day! :)

There is AN option . Its called winning . Especially against a team over .500 . Dak looks great against Jag teams. But fails time and time again WHEN IT COUNTS . Not some september game with nothing on the line . When was the last time Dak played " great " when it counted ? Tampa Bay .... lmaoooo

“Winning” isn’t one of the options for a player when he’s at the press conference and you are required to answer media questions.

Some fans are just so unreasonable. It’s like the laws of the NFL universe no longer exist for you.
