I am 100% confident we will make at least one trade, but no idea whether minor or major. Some may ask why now and not wait until after the season. The value for some players may be a little lower ( mid-season ) now than waiting after the season, when there is more competition. Similar to what some have suggested, Jerry could have gotten more Micah in March rather than Sept, 8 days before the season started.

Here's my offers: Green Bay's first, Marshawn Kneeland and a fourth-round pick to Cincy for Trey Hendrickson and Logan Wilson; a second and Mazi Smith to Tennessee for T'Vondre Sweat; and a fifth to Miami for Minkah Fitzpatrick.

If that doesn't fix our defense, then Eberflus is entirely the problem.

For Fitzpatrick, I'd throw in one of our average safeties (Bell or Thomas). If we did all that, we'd only have to make one cut or trade for space. For me, I'd try to trade Tolbert and Sam Williams. We wouldn't get much but might can get a couple of late-round picks at least.

We all know what they're going to do. Most likely no trade before deadline. At least nothing serious. Then they'll just draft next year, and that will be that.

They probably will be dumb enough to tag Pickens because they don't need any extra room for good free agents.

That would be the smart thing to do actually both things you don't have to keep pickings you can franchise tag him so you can control how much you can get for him I don't want a comp pick I'd rather either sign the guy or franchise tag him and let him seek a trade and then we get maximum value a 1st round tender or a 2nd round tender and now you can get a lot back for him..

How is that dumb that's maximizing your leverage you tag the guy but then you tell them look we're not holding you hostage go seek a trade then you can either match the trade offer or let them walk and get big value for him that is smart business and you're right they should not make a trade before the trade deadline that 'd be a waste of assets given that we don't even know who the defensive coordinator is going to be next year...


We do know this stop talking about the Eagles trays because they're trying to align themselves to a possible run to the Super Bowl we are at least five pieces away from being average that's sad we need probably 5 good defenders just to be around 16..

I prefer to sit and wait and how about this go to the free agent pool, kendricks,, Simmons, Gilmore, or a guy like him then you get your guys back off IR and you just use those pieces and see what you can do if not I'd rather work this all out in March when all the new league year starts before the draft during free agency you can maximize your value with your picks and yes George Pickens should be tagged to get maximum value for him and it doesn't mean you play him on the franchise tag or not trade him on the franchise tag you have all options open to you that is exactly what that was meant for not to hold the guy hostage because I don't want an angry George Pickens and another episode that we had with David whatever his name is the agent..

No he won't dude some of y'all are delusional howie Roseman just gave a 3rd round pick obviously with them it'll be a low one for a guy that hasn't been healthy in three years he's missed more than half his games and he hasn't done anything to speak of he's solid player yes but worth the 3rd round pick no we just got George Pickens for a 3rd round pick he's worth the 1st...

If you think Jaylene Phillips is still who he was the first two years in this league you haven't been paying attention they overpaid for that dude we will see how he works out with them but he's done nothing for Miami the last three seasons..

Everything Howie Roseman touches does not turn to gold he just makes a lot more moves so hit the odds are he's going to hit on a couple more I get that at least he's trying but he way overpaid for Phillips no way I would even consider a 4th but possibly a low 4th or a 5th that's what he was worth but they're a risky team and they're risking it but that was definitely a bad choice of draft picks In my opinion phillips is not worth it i'm not giving away my 3rd rounder for him..

No disrespect to Clowney, hes a useful piece, but no way he is better than Phillips. Phillips issue the last couple years has been injury related, not so much talent related. If you want to knock the kid for his availability that's fair, but this is a huge upside get for Philly. Excellent size, plus pass rusher, and is athletic enough where he drops into coverage about 20% of the time.

Obviously the Cowboys aren't in position to give up more than the Eagles did, but if he were willing to sign an extension as part of the deal I wouldn't have exactly been mad if Jerry gave up a 2nd for this kid.
