I don’t know about that. Parson is a great player. I wanted to keep him because he is elite. But the trade made sense because it gave us real ammo to build with and a good DT. This is stupid. Look at Justin Jefferson right now? He is basically Pickens in his first years with the steelers. I dont care who the wr is. If you have a crappy qb, you are nothing more than an avg wr. Pickens had crap at qb his entire career.

Really , just looking at the posts on Cowboys zone you would think Dak is Geno Smith combine with old Russ. Some would tell you Pickens is doing it all by himself.

Jefferson played half his season with an AVG qb. Playing with crappy Mccarthy he has put up the following yardage totals in each game: 44, 47, 37, 61, and 48 and two whole TDs. Very Steelers Pickenish... like I said. Jefferson was serviceable with Wentz, with Mccarthy???? he is a JAG. The premise of the thread is that Pickens going off somehow looks bad on the steelers, and like I said, that premise is stupid.

The Cowboys won the trade. I agree Pickens' numbers would not be the same in Pittsburgh with a washed Aaron Rodgers and/or Mason Rudolph or whoever is playing for them.

But getting the type of player and production Pickens is giving Dallas for a 3rd round pick is a major steal. No way around that.

Until the Steelers get a qb, why have a high priced WR. Look at Metcalf... he is a stud, and he sucks right now. This is nothing new. Several years ago Antonio Brown was a fantasy BEAST. Big Ben went down and he was not even startable. Like, went from 9 catches 135 yards and a td per game to 2-3 catches for 27 yards and no tds almost immediately.

He didnt change, the qb did.

As for Antonio Brown, he declined after that concussion against the Bengals in the playoffs. And his off-field behavior since that injury proves he's suffering from some kind of CTE.
