I have ZERO faith that the guy can string together enough top performances to make a deep playoff run and I have history on my side not hope.

The criticism of Dak is not that he can't win with a great team around him or that he's not a good QB, it's that he is not worth the highest contract in the league taking away our cap space from other areas of the team we need to build to go win a possible championship, because he is not elite. Yet he is paid like he is.

If we can keep Pickens , Williams and the pieces we have acquired on Defense next year and add to our defense, DESPITE Dak's contract, ok then we might have a chance. If we can't because of mr. Not Tom Brady's huge contract, then he deserves the criticism.

tell me when , with Dak, are we going to have a team that can beat the great teams of the NFL CONSISTENTLY, to go win a championship... because if it is not in the next 3-5 years, then do you really think it will be with aging Dak?

then we will spend the next 5 looking for a QB, instead of trying to do so now. we'll be at 40 years, with not even a chance for a SB.

I just want to make sure this is the premise of this thread because Joe Burrow is likely the best QB in the NFL, and the team around him is nowhere near what our QB has.

This is not a knock on Dak, but the title suggests and says Dak is good enough, and the surrounding parts play no role? Is the take, Dak is a good enough QB to succeed with the pieces we have around him? Or is it, this team only succeeds because of Dak? Am I missing something?

The real question is, "Is Dak enough to win being paid 60 mil/season."

At this point, if we want to open up a window the next two years, Dak's contract must be pushed down the road. Push it down 4-5 yrs from now, because at that point it will be time to rebuild anyway.
