We're still a couple years away from elite, but he's doing well.
Yeah, but I was one of the 14 who liked him from the start!!!!!!!!He's doing an excellent job so far imo

I think the vote was like 250-14 against Schotty. I was even accused of being sarcastic in casting a positive vote. Good times!!!!!!!Good call from you. I wasn't sure about him haha. I noticed some stuff in the preseason, but wasnt sure. Now? I think we've got one.

Calling all shotty bashers! Where ya at??????
Bro, Jerry was instrumental in drafting both Romo and Dak, and also instrumental in giving the okay in the benching of Romo in favour of Dak, which seemed risky at the time. Let's also not forget that Shotty was brought in by Big Mike, also okayed by Jerrah. For Jerry to decide on giving Shotty the job when Cowboys Nation was screaming out and not in favour of this move makes Jerry's hiring even more impressive. Look, I don't like Jerry Jones, he is a narcissist, but to write off Romo, Dak and Shotty as luck is ubiquitously stupid...Definitely, but man, I think Jerry is better off trying to be lucky. He lucked into Romo and Dak, and he's lucked into Schotty.

If Garrett was given those all he would do is run curl routes all game long and have Dak throw to Witten on every 3rd down.He inherited an elite QB and 2 elite receivers, but he's doing a good job. Too early to pour greasy oil on him, but he's better than McCarthy. I guess you could put that on the ledger (for now).

Just by your title alone, you sound like a teenager. Full blown emotional statement 1 week after another. Being an elite coach is something earned. You do not earn that statement after being a HC for 1/2 a year.I said a few weeks ago that I wished we could have had Schottenheimer sooner. I'll double down here. So far, Brian Schottenheimer is an elite Head Coach.
Has he been perfect? No, but every coach makes a few errors. However, by and large, he's made a lot more great coaching decisions than mistakes. He's good with clock management so far. In a league where you can regularly call out mind numbingly stupid clock management decisions, Brian Schottenheimer (a rookie HC) hasn't made those. Sure, he's gotten a bit overly aggressive times, but a lot of coaches are aggressive now.
Furthermore, not only has he beaten both Super Bowl Teams in the span of 4 days. Not only has he also beaten the Commanders and was a dropped ball away from sweeping Philly. He's outright OUTCOACHED Andy Reid, Sirianni, and Quinn. Remember when we would be upset because we were regularly outcoached under Jason Garrett? I think it'd safe to say we are not being outcoached. He's putting the team in great positions to win (excluding maybe the Cardinals game, which he has really improved from). He's trusting his QB. He's calling mostly great plays. He's managing his time-outs brilliantly.
It's nice to finally be able to say that we have an elite Head Coach in 2025. Who'd have thought that we might actually have the best HC in the division at the start of the season? Even if we don't make the playoffs this year, I currently have full confidence in Schottenheimer in 2026.
They'd be closer to 9-3 if the defense wasn't hot garbage the first two and a half months of the season. The offense has been ranked #1 or close to it since week 2.The Cowboys are 6-5-1.

Stop posting please. All of your posts are overly dramatic bait pieces. You are a bottom feeder.
Telling somebody not to post just because you don't agree is pretty rude.Just by your title alone, you sound like a teenager. Full blown emotional statement 1 week after another. Being an elite coach is something earned. You do not earn that statement after being a HC for 1/2 a year.

Respectfully disagree. I like shotty but I would say let's revisit this after 3 years.Firstly, I'm 32, secondly I enjoy posting here, and thirdly, he's just outcoached both Super Bowl coaches in four days. That earns him the right to be in the conversation. I think he's been impressive so far, and I'm excited to see where the team goes from here.
