Must really win out.

Even a few division leaders play each other.

GB & Chicago play each other twice. So one will have 2 more losses or 1 each.
If either team loses 3 games, we can pass one of them for the 7th seed.
Also SF loses 2 games, we can pass them.
Of course beating Detroit puts us past them.
Need Seattle to lose 3 games as well. But they and SF play each other again.t

Need 2 of those above to happen, win out, get seed #7.

However, if we win out, and the Eagles lose 3 games, we win the division.
Eagles play Chicago, Chargers, Buffalo, can they lose those 3. Otherwise they play Vegas, Washington twice.

I used to really dislike him... but now, watching the Manningcast and his commercials, I love the guy. Im not sure I can think of a starting qb that was more laid back then that guy.

That's kind of why I don't care whether the Eagles or Bears win tonight, because there are scenarios that either would help.

Maybe the Eagles losing would fuel a spectacular collapse because neither the Chargers or Bills are exactly pushovers and playing a division foe twice in a couple of weeks (Washington) can have unexpected results.

As the OP noted, the Bears have some tough teams on their schedule too. If they lose to the Eagles, Micah and his new team can do us a great favor and beat them twice.

I would think they go up about the same if Philly loses to Chicago and we beat the Lions. The Eagles are suddenly on a losing streak and we're a game and a half behind them. Both teams would be 8-4. We're just kind of assuming that the Bears are more likely to lose two than the defending Super Bowl champs.

Oh, they’re in if they win out. You can forget anbout any ******** scenarios that don’t have them getting in if they win out. Those aren’t happening. Better chance Dallas gets in with a loss than not getting in while winning out
 
Eagles have a soft schedule
Need them to loose to the Bears and a desperate Bills

I don't think so. If the Eagles lose their odds of still winning the division remain high.

Not sure why it should. Their records would be exactly the same. Is there an assumption since they are the defending champs that they are better than the Bears even if they lose to them or is this a strength of schedule thing?

It's a longshot yes, but Dallas' chances are better than that. ESPN analytics also have the Cowboys with only a 47 percent chance of beating the Giants in the finale. The 2-10 Giants.

Well, that Bears win definitely didn't help us. If they win next week, guess it's on to hoping for a Green Bay collapse. Ben Johnson locker room videos looking just like the Schotty ones. Teams is pumped and he is winning the players at right time.

....Or a Philly collapse which is starting to look likely again too even though probability is low we win NFC East. If Filthy loses again next week, and we beat Detroit, suddenly it starts to look possible.

I think Philly collapsing is our best chance.

Out of all the teams in front of us, they are arguably the worst. They have no offense
