Twitter: Baldy on Tyler Booker vs. Chris Jones

Really nice play. Kept his feet driving and avoided the hold. That’s tough work on a guy like Jones.

With that said, Jones put up a better fight than Carter last week. Booker held his own, but he didn’t just absolutely shut Jones down this game.
I think Booker actually had a better game against Jones than Tyler Smith did, and that's no knock on Smith. I really only noticed one bad block by Booker against Jones. Tyler got whipped badly by him on a couple of plays. Overall, though, it was a good effort by the interior.

Had that same thought about Carter and Jones vs Booker. Jones was definitely more difficult than Carter.

Smith is not 100% and probably won't be until the off-season.
- It is hard to recover from injury while playing and practicing every week.

Won't argue against that. Like a lot of players, he's playing through his injury and it's affecting his play. Thought he had a great game against the Eagles, though. This one wasn't bad outside of a few plays.

We're going to have the two best guards in football in my opinion. I didn't like the pic but it's obvious with the eagles and their d-line we had to get better up front and we certainly did.

You don’t take guard as early as we did but one there wasn’t much there and also sometimes the person is more important then the position. We needed to get more physical and tougher as a team. We needed some dogs. We are bullying people now. And for that? I don’t care what position they play.

Whenever I watch offensive lineman block I'm jealous because, when I played, you couldn't hold at all, zero, no hands. We had to keep our hands inside and try to push people around with our elbows/shoulders and, let me tell you, it's damn near impossible against anybody that's any good.

There wasn't anybody on the board that we just couldn't pass up from what I saw. In that case trust your scouts. Apparently they thought highly of Booker and it looks like the 100 percent correct pick

During draft night, I made a point this pick was going to be a good solid pick, especially with dudes in the NFC East like Davis/Carter, Leonard Williams, Daron Payne. Dallas needed to get stronger inthe trenches to combat the pass rush and some fans wanted competition at TE with drafting Warren..

Booker wasn't the sexy pick but the smart one because you need to hit on your first three draft selections IMO.

I would’ve taken DT but it worked itself out.

I get not wanting to spend a first on some positions but if it’s an elite player, which booker hss potential to be, I’m not opposed to a guard in first. If you get an impact player it’s worth it even if it takes a first. Beats wasting a first on a need position only to get an avg or worse player
