That's a wrap for 2025

They'll start winning when there's nothing left to play for and we can only drop slots in the draft

There's zero reason for them to give up. Winning 2 out of 3 against KC,Philly, Detroit is something every team in the league would take. They have to win out and late season collapses happen all the time. The NFC west teams still have to play each other. Philly is reeling. There's no reason to give up

This team hasn't beat a quality team on the road in years. New coach same as the old coach. This is what would have happened if they somehow made the playoffs anyway.

I like the optimism, but its getting to the point of basic math. We are going to need MULTIPLE TEAMS to lose 3 of their last 4 games for a wildcard.

If Philly beats the Chargers Sunday (Herbert might not play), then we would need the Eagles to lose 3 of their last 4 games.

And even if that somehow happened, the hardest part is the Cowboys have to win out and go 4-0. They almost got a 50-burger dropped on their arses by a 7-5 team, and you think they are going to win out?

We made it interesting for a few more weeks. It was fun beating Egirls and Chefs but winning out was a little too much to ask.

Now we can hope to finish above .500 which we should and have a fairly strong finish to a season which was derailed from the onset.

We need to focus on resigning Pickens and Williams in offseason . And look to draft to find another edge or pass rusher and CB.

It was a valiant effort by Dak and offense to try and revive the season but in the end the defense couldn’t make critical stops and the horrid start to season was too much to overcome.
2025 was over after we lost to the Cardinals. This is now the extended preseason for 2026. Since the trade deadline this is about evaluating players and hopefully coaches for '26. Here's what I'm learning for '26 and I hope Jerry and DNA boy learn it too:
1. Eberflus isn't that great and we should upgrade
2. We need LBers and secondary help
3. Tonight we witnessed the George Pickens experience. I'm hoping we tag him and have him play another year before signing him long term to a huge contract. He just wasn't there tonight mentally.
4. I'm worried we can't handle success. Did we read our own press clippings about being "the most dangerous team in the NFL". That's a culture thing. We rarely play good when we're feeling good about ourselves.

Overall it's a disappointing night but if you look at it through the lens of player and coaches development it's a positive. We're learning:
1. Eberflus can be bad even with good players
2. Pickens can show up and be disinterested.
3. Schotty didn't have them up and ready to play

I'd rather learn this stuff now than in the 2026 playoffs.

We’ve already hit my preseason win prediction so overall, I’m ok with the season outside of Jerry’s malpractice sabotage.

I’ve seen enough to make me interested in enjoying the rest of the games but also looking forward to next year.

Go Cowboys!

Agreed. Cowboys don't have enough. This coming from a long time fan. Need more D. Defense let is down tonight.

Agreed. This coming from a long time fan starting from the 80s. This gutless team can't win on the road like the 90's teams could. I knew they'd lose. Unfortunately for you, you'll never see a super bowl team. Jerry needs to be 6 feet under until this can happen. Jimmy Johnson won those super bowls, not Jerry. Glad I've seen 3 super bowl wins.

This team was never going to make the playoffs… they gave us hope for two games. But the bottom line is the same problem happens every time there’s a big game. The $60 million man forgets to show up in the first quarter and a half. The same script all the time. If this team ever hopes to get anywhere in the future, they got to a figure way out of that contract. But Jerry Jones, I don’t think will ever figure a way out.

We had some really good football to watch for a few weeks beating the eagles is always great winning on Thanksgiving Day is another treat.
I thought we were capable of beating Detroit but going into their house facing a wounded animal was a little too much for us could not afford the amount of mistakes we made.

The door will get closed on the season when the wind blows it's shut until then I'm not going to make predictions let's just see what happens nobody would have expected us to beat the eagles and the Chiefs in back-to-back weeks anything can happen.

Don't understand why so many on here can't wait to predict disaster just so they can be right nobody cares

I got sucked into thinking we had become a real team
They defintely looked different. Team had been showing some fight back which we haven't seen in a while. Problem is they kept their self inflicted errors. So they arent quite there yet. Not sure if they can turn the corner. Too many needs on defense and OL shows up and vanishes at various times

It was over when Arizona bombed them at home. Probably over when they hired a clown like Shottenheimer.

Playoffs are not out of the question. Our only chance is the division. What's over is the thought we could actually beat a halfway decent team on the road.

Fire Eberflus

Draft MLB, S, DE.

Bring in another corner and Tackle.

Cowboys could be a good team next year.
Fire Shottenheimer. They weren't prepared to play. That's happened a few times this season.
