If you think Dak played well

Maybe lighten up on the name calling? It's actually against the rules.
Is it? It’s an opinion. My opinion is that he isn’t very smart. In other words, an idiot. I gather it isn’t exactly a compliment, but it isn’t name-calling, per se.

If you prefer, I can start saying “I find you to be of low intelligence”.

Does that sit better with you?

You’re funny.

Honestly, I’m laughing.

You’re really convinced that typing “facts > feelings” again and again somehow makes you right.
Defeated? Nah — just pointing out that stats in a padded pocket ≠ wins. Popgun can laugh all he wants; facts don’t need an audience. facts > feelings

If you think Dak was the problem today, no one can help you. Having said that, if they move on from Dak at some point soon, I won’t cry.
Dak was a big part of the problem in the first half - I am not sure how you could say otherwise. Good 2nd half but he had no clue what the Lions were doing to him in the first half.

It absolutely is name calling, and I'm not saying that because I'm personally offended. I'm trying to keep you from being banned, and trying to keep this place relatively civil.

Attack the opinion, not the poster.

“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means”. - Inigo Montoya to Captain Crash regarding the term “padded pocket”.

5 sacks, multiple pressures, and below average run success does not a padded pocket make, but I know you really understand football better than everyone else.

LOL. He brought us back to 30-27 with almost 10 minutes left to play in the game. Too bad the defense gave up a TD in 2 minutes 35 seconds right afterwards. And another one in 1 1/2 minutes after we scored an FG to make it a one score game with almost 4 minutes left in the game. Could he have played better? Of course. But if the QB brings his team back with 10 minutes left to play. He did his job. Do you want him to play defense too?
I'm impatient with the Dak hate. He had few relievers after CeeDee was injured and Pickens decided to take a personal day. He was sacked five times and the offensive line had a terrible night.

The Lions run defense was alleged to be leaky but clearly knew how to plug the middle last night. Schotty kept trying to run the ball up the gut but it was futile.

Ok, thanks.

In that case, I find his opinion to be idiotic and of sub-par intelligence, and both formally and informally retract my assertion that he himself is an idiot.

He is only possessed of idiotic opinions.

Thanks for keeping me straight. I appreciate it.

Here's one option. I give you more if you need them, popgun.
Cute movie quote, Popgun.
But here’s the translation you missed:
Padded pocket = manufactured stats that disappear when real defenses show up.
Dak turns into a pumpkin the second the pressure matters — sack count doesn’t change that story.
But hey… keep quoting movies instead of explaining playoff results.
Facts > feelings.
The Real Padded Pocket Explanation”

Popgun, relax — “padded pocket” doesn’t mean zero pressure.
It means:

elite WRs
top O-line
stat-friendly scheme

clean looks
…and still no big-game results.
Dak racks up numbers when nothing’s on the line.
That’s literally the definition.
But sure, go off with the movie quotes.
Facts > feelings.
And here is the finality:

You keep obsessing over pressures like it magically erases seven years of disappearing in big games.
Pressure happens to every QB — elite ones rise, Dak folds.
A couple of sacks don’t explain why he shrinks every January.
But keep swinging, Popgun — still no ammo.
Facts > feelings.

Im seeing a lot of fans “relieved” that the defense should shoulder the blame for this loss as opposed to lumping Dak in there as well.

He played a bad game. The lazy will look at the stat sheet and see he threw for over 300 yards and the ints were the fault of the receivers.

He was inaccurate on several deep passes (got CD concussed).

Threw that horrific backwards pass instead of throwing it away

Led 0 Td drives in the first half against a team missing most of their secondary.
I don't care if he played good or bad, I just want him to be an MVP, damn it. How come I can't have good things?

Dak wasnt elite, good, or seen as competent /mid during the game. To say he was good here and there isn't going to win those tough games. To defend him by saying defense gave up 44 pts, he directly or indirectly contributed is a blind way of viewing game. Defebse wasn't good, but then again you're playing amtge number 3offebse in the league. Our offense failed more due to Liobs defe se ranking 13 and 29th against the pass. We can blaim O line, WR, TE, RBs, Coordinators. Only Dak is the common element since 2016, we've gotten rid of everyone else.

Hiding behind AI?

You really are an idiot. Do you not understand how ChatGPT works? Let’s all take the authoritative word of OGSixShooter instead of the collective intelligence and data of the entire knowledge of professional football.

Wow. You’re something.

When did this forum get filled with such arrogance and ignorance?

It’s like you’re walking into the world’s library of collective works that exist or ever DID exist and announcing to everyone “yeah, nice books, but listen to ME because I really know what’s up”.

Ok. Do go on.

Do you not hear yourself?
Forgive me if I missed it but could you tell me what exactly you asked ChatGPT to get your answer?

Do you think it is possible that ChatGPT is compiling all the historical evidence it can to provide you with an averaged out answer which is accurate in a general sense but doesn't take into account all the specifics of any given situation?

Maybe I'm an idiot but to hear this level of ranting about ChatGPT being the be all end all in a discussion like this is terrifying. And I'm not talking about football.

I'm probably an idiot, though.

Prescott was fine. Not as good as he needed to be. Issue is the QB play needs to be essentially perfect when you're giving up 40+ points.

He missed some throws but that one INT should have been caught by Pickens.
Perfect? How about just not make the plays that hurt your team? Prescott has never been able to do that.

I find your opinions to be of low information and generally hold them in no regard. In other words, your opinions are a waste of time, and I will henceforth be blocking you.

There’s an old quote that goes “never argue with (people whose opinions are idiotic). They will drag you to their level and beat you with their experience”.

To quote the great Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka, “Good DAY, sir”!

Good day indeed! Enjoy blocking me — now you’ll never have to hear the truth about Dak again. . I’ll keep typing facts > feelings while you retreat to padded-pocket fantasy land.

Your question indicates that you are indeed likely NOT an idiot.

So, two things…first, I asked “Is 91 yards of rushing in an NFL football game in 2025 considered average, above average, excellent, or below average? How would 376 yards of passing be in that same game?”

I asked that because of someone’s assertion that Dak played terribly while our running game was average. Since my own assessment was the opposite, I thought I’d ask ChatGPT.

Second, I do not think ChatGPT is infallible, but I think it is beyond comprehension for some anonymous poster on here to suggest not only that that the collective wisdom (including statistics of every NFL game ever played) is wrong, but that his or her own quite-possibly-pimple-faced-14-year-old opinion is superior to ChatGPT.

I think that is an incredible thing, actually, especially when one’s argument that the collective wisdom of all mankind on the subject is invalid because “facts > feelings”. It’s perhaps the most illogical thing I’ve heard in some time.

I can’t be the only one who finds that exceptionally ignorant, but maybe I am.

lol...you can tell when a poster gets frustrated and runs away from a discussion. They put you on ignore.
