Not only that, but just because even if Parcells did do that, that is no reason to let it happen here. Man, some logic of a few posters around here.

Another wild overreaction. Pickens had a bad game. I think he knows it too. But that game was preceded by a few exceptional performances. The tell will be what he does the next game. If he has a huge comeback game then the Detroit debacle will be forgotten. If he stinks it up again, then we may start to worry a little bit.

But let's face it, the Cowboys had a bad day against Detroit. The Lions get some of the credit because they wanted it more. They were more physical than the Cowboys and made some big plays. The silver lining is the Cowboys OL, TE and WR2 all had bad days and they still scored 30 points on the road. Imagine if Pickens had one of his regular days and the OL actually blocked someone.

There's a famous interview when Parcells was asked about players being late and he said it depended on the player, he told the story about Belichick running in to tell him LT showed up late to the meeting.
Parcells said, "Why the hell did you start the meeting without him? He went on to say if it was LT, he usually let it go.

Pickens is not at LT's level so i'll leave it at that. Personally I'd like to see everyone there 10 minutes early

In his words, he goes, ‘Hey, Schotty, I didn’t play my best game.’ Unfortunately, none of us played our best game. That’s real. But I don’t worry about George and his love for football and playing this game.”

I'm not 100% sure Pickens is back especially if it turns personal. Javonte is another decision.

We should have a poll at the end of the season asking who goes and who stays for 5 or 6 key players.

I'd be in favor of doing that for Zone members at the end of each season.

I'm not worried unless he continues to struggle in games like this. Where his mental toughness is tested and he struggles under the pressure.

He was double teamed a lot more.
He was chipped it and forced to be physical.
He had several calls go against him.
A few contested passes.
I'm sure there was a lot of trash talk.

All of this combined seems to have caused him to wilt and play with a noticeable negative body language. A big part of being a dominate player is not the physical capabilities but what goes on between the ears.

Look, he's great, but you're going to get attitude and possibly low effort when things go poorly. Is this really a shock? And on this team that thrives on mediocrity, where just being relevant is celebrated by the owner...do we really want to keep him?

It's one game during a sensational season. I like to look at the full body of work. If he didn't have a reputation in Pittsburg, this would be a non-factor...but he does have that reputation, which means his performance moving forward should be heavily scrutinized moving forward. I think he will bounce back and finish the season strong, but lack of effort had me questioning his commitment. Not a good look in a do or die game.

Man, we need to be talking about Fergusen if we're talking boneheaded players that cost us the game - trying to be the hero like -15 yards behind the yard to gain tied up an in quadruple coverage for the fumble - then the unnecessary and seriously flagerant personal foul. We'd of had it on the goal line had he not tried to choke some guy. They scored 7 off his fumble and we lost another 7 off his greedy play and had to take a field goal. We lost by 14...

The guy just about single handedly cost us the game if you want to point fingers. I believe this is the second game he's had this season where he looked like a rookie.
