A win today vs the Chargers means what to you?

It's the first day of Winter here in Ontario, Canada. It's been good for my business, and a win today will mean as much as wins have been for 2025, which is nothing. 2025 was a year to see what we have moving forward, and there are indeed some encouraging signs that have come out of this mess, as well as some very discouraging signs as per usual

it makes it easier for Jerry to "Sell The Cowboys" in a marketing term.

The stadium is part of the Empire, it makes him money year round. Jerry just goes out there and does what he loves best, marketing the Empire. Lose and his stragetity is the same, just a different narrative.

You ll know the narrative and outcome before the game is over.

i'd play the crap out of dak. I'd put him on kickoffs and punts. He needs to stretch his legs. When we are on offense, I'd qb sneak every play, even some tush pushes on 3rd and 30. Jerry is paying him well, so Jerry needs to get his money's worth.

It's bad enough we're going nowhere this year. But no sense getting key players injured in meaningless games and potentially ruining 2026 before it starts.

I win would only piss me off more.

Stop showing me what this team might could be and let me accept what they actually are.

I am not one to wish for losses but yeah a win would just be another kick in the balls.

I have no plans of watching today. Jerry put another bad product on the field and it would be tremendous if everyone tuned out.

On to the draft!

What would piss me off even more is if we play key players like Dak and Lamb, and they get major injuries. The last couple of games should be about getting our depth such as Milton key game reps. It doesn't matter if we win or not at this point, so why not see how our depth looks in real regular season action?

cant wait to hear brad sham today. He's another one of jerry's puppets. Toward the end of the vikings game, he was already making excuses for why the season wasnt good and trying to sell people on how the last 3 games are so important--it'll carry over into next season.

What does it mean to you; does it give you any hope for the future? What players would you like to see more of? They can't be that naive and not play some of these younger players. I think for the most part we all want to see them get through this game with no injuries that can harm us in 2026.

Jay toia, Winfrey, blue, i'd love see them active. Give more reps to Flournoy, keep Tolbert inactive!!
It means a win it means that teams playing with pride it means they're giving effort you're supposed to go into every game with maximum effort and your goal is to win the game not develop players That will be saved for the last game.

Next two games I want the Cowboys to play all their starters that are healthy and you're sitting here acting like we don't have Players have been playing all year that need more time and more development they they need to stay on the field and suffer with the rest of us...LOL

But yes, the same goal as usual win the damn game that's what you're supposed to do you play the game to win do I need to put the meme up there for you?

From my standpoint all we have left is to hope the Packers lose hope the Eagles lose regardless of how that ends for all them we just still want to see them lose..

The Packers losing last night them losing Parsons I mean this is like a bonus gift this is a stocking stuffer I want the Cowboys to play spoiler....

No it's not a surprise this is my response but you know what i'm a Cowboys fan every game that they suit up for I want them to win regardless of who's playing or who we are playing and regardless of our playoff chances I don't care about tanking and I for sure don't care about development from our young players not right now.

That is typically saved for the last game of the year whether you're sending your players to get them ready for the playoffs or whether you're out of it last game we can talk about this, I don't even know who he played last game......

Nothing.

There is 0 point in winning games. 0. The whole “carry momentum over to next season” comments are a joke. These guys don’t carry anything to the new season 10 months from now.

Lose. Period.

Get lost.

You were also on the “we are going to make the playoffs train”

Being serious..... on the surface, a win makes no sense...3 losses from here on out, would help our draft board. That said, I don't think any of us here, want to lose. The bickering between fans, starting with me, has to be at an all time low. We all want a SB, we all agree the Jerry is to blame for much of what ails us, we see the division Pickens will bring in the off season....many bad things in the off season await......but, I think, no matter how many times we tell ourselves to tank, we will all be a little, some, a lot, happy if our players pull their heads out, overcome the negatives, and go play a solid game. I'd like to see a win and some signs of life, going into the off season.
This is important for the players to win these games you suit up to win it's very important especially for individuals they have goals to accomplish and I know fans don't see it that way because they think they're in control of what happens on the field because their emotions and their feelings seem to be very important to them and have lost reality of the fact that's not what competitive sports are...

For me Prescott he's never had a losing season as a starting quarterback that's finished healthy he started and finished healthy all those seasons have been 500 or above he's only had one 500 season pretty much his whole career they've been above 500 when he's been healthy the whole year or at least most of the year..

Me as a fan yes I prefer to have 9 wins this year.. I prefer not to be labeled as a losing season regardless of draft picks I don't care They should just be better at drafting doesn't matter where you pick because you can find great players all over the draft people worried about the 2 spots in the 1st round is insane to me that they don't think you're going to find two quality players no matter where you pick in the 1st round that's up to the coaching staff and the scouting department to get it right not us nothing to do with us..

hey players been taken in the top five in the last decade that have not worked out? And some of those drafts 5th rounders 7th rounders and undrafted players have fared better?

Yes for a competitive person who's played competitive sports that still play individual extreme sports positive accomplishment is still the number one goal and that's typically winning in a organized sport or having accomplished something a goal and completing it and I'm betting there's a lot of players that have that in mind right now..

Fans will call that selfish They'll say it's stat padding that it's a garbage time stuff that shouldn't count but you know what it all counts 60 minutes of football for 17 games or even back when it was 14 and 16 games all of it mattered they we can't go back and cherry pick stats on who's met more and what moments it it's a complete picture of what you did that year and you should have the right to compete till the very end without being judged...

This makes no sense (in my blueblood voice) you want them to lose for what, it doesn't help us either way if we select another Guyton etc. THey could give us the 32nd pick and it might be better than drafting earlier

By the time the season comes we'll have had 3 negative situations that have happened thus far

Contract dispute
Bad coaching hire
Player got injured!

There's a lot of people in here that are going to be pissed off, if we win or pissed that player chose to play and do his job because they're paying 2 to $3 million a game and you're worried about whether they get injured or not...

There the starters are paid to play 17 games It's up to them where they want to pull themselves out of games and tell the coach look let the young guys play I'm good if they want to come in and play you should appreciate them playing for pride them having goals and respect enough to want to go into a game and win it and not start pulling players because fans think it's so it's the best thing to do because that's not what competitive sports are about..

The very fabric of competitive sports is not handing a team like the Chargers who may be competing with somebody else for the division title or a playoff spot and handing them a free win...

You realize some of us who have played sports or continue having hobbies that are sport related like extreme sports that what I just said is very important It it's almost people making fun of stray hands winning the record because Farb laid down for it that was wrong he should have done it he probably would have got the record anyway that is not what people who Ever played competitive or organized sports or played any kind of sports of any kind...

Winning is always the goal giving your effort is always the number one goal..

So what that means is you don't give the Chargers a free pass You play as hard as you can if this becomes lopsided one way or the other that's when you start pulling these guys and protecting them but if they want to play I'm cool with them wanting to play if they get injured that is just bad luck..

Most of them don't go into games doing that like worried about getting injured because if they did they wouldn't be able to play well you know sometimes I do see players doing that and those are the ones that are underperforming on the field because they're making business decisions they shouldn't they're getting paid a lot of money to win and they should give all their effort they should possibly give and when a player does that like Prescott putting his body and reputation on the line he should not get criticized for it..
