Pickens can be signed without giving up assets. Crosby would be attractive to teams that have a realistic chance to get to a Super Bowl. It might make sense for New England or Jacksonville. The Dallas Cowboys are nowhere near being capable of competing with top teams.

Pickens. we need to maintain the high power in this offense AND improve our defense greatly. That does not happen without a WR on the caliber of Pickens opposite Lamb. Jerry is just going to have to suck it up, find some money and do it.

Hypothetically let's say Dallas sends a 2026 and 2027 1st for Crosby.

This essentially leaves them with just Green Bay's 1st this April. But it also means, in essence, Dallas would have turned Micah Parsons into Maxx Crosby, Quinnen Williams, and Kenny Clark.

Did anybody think that the Patriots or Jags were Super Bowl contenders before this season started? Where were the Patriots and Jags at this point last year? I looked it up. They were both 4 and 13 last year.

They can afford both, it's the draft compensation that probably prevents the Cowboys from making the trade.

Pickens. They already used a 3rd round pick for him. Cosby will take at least a 1st round pick.
They can use one of the 1st round picks on a good draft pick, and have him for 5 years.

We seen how Pickens helped out the offense, and Dak. Without him there is no way they would have been as good.

and you think that means what? Daks stats are not necessarily how the team goes. Dak has some great stats most years, yet we have not even sniffed a championship game. a trio like Pickens, Lamb and Flournoy , along with an improved defense and a proven running game might change that.

No one can predict the future of course, but I can see the difference it might make. if we only have Lamb and no superb number 2 , double coverage or great CB play is going to stop our offense on a regular basis.

we need the offense to be BETTER than it has been and the defense to be at least decent. Then we have a shot. IMO I saw some of that in the offense this year.

Slightly better but basically the same.

Dak 2023: 410/590, 69.5 %, 4516 yards, 36 TD's, 9 int.
Dak 2025: 397/589, 67.4 %, 4482 yards, 30 TD's 10 int.

Assuming he plays most of the game at New York, Dak will have more yards this season. The fact JaVonte Williams punched in 11 rushing touchdowns this season shaved a few TD passes off Dak's total this year.

Also if Lamb did not miss essentially 5 weeks Dak probably would have surpassed his 2025 numbers.

Easy answer is… both.
Obviously the main stumbling block with Crosby is compensation, if it’s reasonable then get them both.
If not, sign Pickens and use the draft picks on defensive players.

It was very logical at the time. At least we use logic and not pick 4 wins every year because we hate Dak.
Also, I am not a big fan, but do not hate him.

Things happen during seasons that derail teams.
