RELEASED Cowboys have released cornerback Trevon Diggs

He will now be joined with Micah. This is a d was his end game all along. It worked for Micah, why not him.

Meh....I didn't really care for Diggs the player and thought he was always overrated but nobody can have much success at his position with the scheme we played under this Defensive Coordinator.

The entire secondary sucked. Hell the defence is historically bad.

Diggs will go somewhere that'll let him play way more man coverage and he will be better.
He's burnt toast but if he's playing in dime you might be able to use him.

Paying for interceptions is stupid. Picks are as much happenstance as anything.

Diggs was toasted routinely since he arrived here. Jerry gets enamored with stats just like fantasy football nerds.

It's about the totality of play, not silly tipped or overthrown balls for picks or garbage-time sacks.

I saw Diggs play in Charlotte live and you could tell he was frustrated. I couldn't get over how far off the ball he was along with the entire secondary. That's not the style of play he prefers and it was frustrating as a fan watching it.

As I said, an overrated player but this scheme and Coordinator makes everything worse across the board.

AL Harris and DQ covered up his flaws until we got to the postseason. Then he was done.

Philly , GB or ATL. Panthers might even grab him.

Traded a 1 for Amari and we get a 5 for him
Let dware go
Let Lewis walk
Traded parsons just before the season
Gave away 2 4s for guys that dont do anything and a 7th guys sits on the bench

Now we don't get anything for diggs
you all still can't let that go and you're still wrong

You realize that Mark Cooper that gave him a extension paid him $22 million a year for have him start dropping off disappearing in games, especially on the road, not wanting to practice, he would sit by himself in the locker room playing chess.. he wouldn't come out to the practice field,

look you get that reputation is what began the process of the Cowboys not wanting him here, then the whole Covid thing happened he refused To comply and I don't want to get into that I'm just telling you there are better players than Amari Cooper that got cut and not got a draft pick at all for him, like Deandre Hopkins when he left Arizona, they had nobody even offer a 5th and yet we picked up guys like Brandon Cooks and Gilmore who had plenty of tread left for 5th round picks,

that 5th round pick was not bad for the fact that nobody else would offer anymore than that without the Cowboys offering to pay salaries If you don't know the details and don't understand they got what they could for him but he was also becoming a locker room cancer just like digs.

Nothing against Cooper they got what they needed from him they did get it first they paid him his money but then he began to become a problem These things are all validated they're all true and also around the league there are players that you can't even get a pick four that were better than Amari Cooper that have been released off teams to get no compensation we got a 5th round compensation plus we saved the money i'm not saying it was great but it is not as bad as you're trying to Accusing jj just making a terrible trade it was not...

The only truly bad trade that Jerry's ever made that I can remember is Mingo yes horrible... But I'm not even gonna give you Trey Lance they're looking for a future quarterback a good backup that was not that bad of a reach and even Chargers picked him up because they think he might have something he did not die when he left the cowboy so when you're talking about a quarterback position versus the receiver there was a big difference between those two trades Not that I liked either one but let's give it a break..
