RELEASED Cowboys have released cornerback Trevon Diggs

Let's dig a little deeper:

First of all, there have been times when the team has said "yes".

Second of all, consider the circumstances. They don't play again for ten days. The team is going to be given time off. His family is in the area. It is Christmas.

This was the perfect time to say "yes". They said "no."

Why?

Again, I suspect pettiness from a source that exudes it.
Who would that be that exudes pettiness?

And, in my view, if the boss says no, the answer is no. Then again, I don’t come from the “everyone’s special and deserves a trophy” generation.

I hope Diggs gets picked up and gets a SB ring. Something Jerry hasn't sniffed in 30 years....
The Eagles could really use an outside CB opposite Mitchell.
Adoree Jackson has been horrible.
Imagine if Diggs went to the hated Eagles and helped them win another title.
The ultimate ** to Jerry.

We had to bet on Bland. He's not Diggs. He does work hard. Now I'm worried he's just too injury prone. Treyvons issue is from the neck up.
I’m hoping it was some scheme issues combined with injury. It’s not character with Bland, it’s not lack of work ethic….im just worried he got paid on that one pick six year, and a lot of that was honestly luck and circumstance what wouldn’t be replicated, vs being a consistent good cover corner.

Yes. He was the only player who didn’t fly back with the team. There’s a process to making requests to not travel with the team. He didn’t put in a request. Asked after the game, was denied, and then just didn’t go to the airport.
Eh, I don’t blame him. It’s not like we weren’t going to cut him anyway. Spend time with the family.

It's not good he can end up on a playoff team that's kind of a bonus he's getting rewarded for his bad play and I don't like it whether he plays good for someone else or not I can see this guy right now getting picked up by the Eagles if he clears waivers enough to get there they need help on the back end they would do like nothing else but to put him on their playoff roster.. Is a very Howie thing to do it's a very reason I would leave him and then release him on Monday after the game I'd make him play..
Is there an injury clause that would kick in if he got injured?

It does seem strange timing to me..

You wouldn't try and shop him around and see if you could get even a low draft pick?

I guess they could have already done that.. but I think we would have heard some rumours.
DC Don't Count Against Dead Money Players Do....

Watch a playoff caliber team pick him up and he miraculously starts tackling.
I said he looked like Jaylon Smith with his lack of speed and change of direction. The first couple of games he looked good then he slid. I'm thinking because he didn't rehab with the team he felt pressure to come back and wasn't ready. But that's just a guess.
