Diggs was hurt before the trading deadline this year. Next spring, teams would have seen the tape since he came back and looked at his deal and wouldn't have even bothered calling.

Seems like they did it because Diggs wanted to stay in DC to spend time with his family during Christmas. No-Schott said no and Diggs did it anyway.

And, in my view, if the boss says no, the answer is no. Then again, I don’t come from the “everyone’s special and deserves a trophy” generation.

That would be the same guy that traded Micah Parsons, his best defensive player and a generational talent because he refused to negotiate a contract without his agent.

It would be the guy who uses the media to influence contract talks but cries foul if the player does the same.

It was the guy that wouldn't pay a future Hall of Famer his salary and cut him because he had an appendix operation and couldn't play that season.

It was that same guy that ran off a generational Head coach who had just won back-to-back Super Bowls because he felt that he should have received more credit for the team that the head coach built.

It was the guy who refused to allow "original 88" Drew Pearson into the Ring of Honor for decades because Pearson
wouldn't fall in line with his business interests.

He was the one who, to this day, has not allowed the head coach that built a team that won three Super Bowls into the Ring of Honor.

He is that same guy that had a child out of wedlock and refused to acknowledge her even after a paternity test proved he was the father.
