1974: DE Ed "Too Tall" Jones and RB Charles Young
1975: Randy "The Manster" White and LB Hollywood Henderson
1991: DT Russell Maryland; WR Alvin Harper
1992: CB Kevin Smith and LB Robert Jones
2005: Demarcus Ware and DE Marcus Spears
Charles Young #30 was on the field for the entire drive which culminated in the famous Hail Mary catch; knee injuries sidelined his promising career; Too Tall Jones got two sacks to close out that miraculous Hail Mary game. Too Tall was an underrated player, as Harvey Martin got most of the sacks and was a pass rushing terror for many years. Too Tall at 6'9" had the largest wingspan in NFL history and there are those who claim he made ballhawk Everson Walls's career, as QB's had to make arc their throws higher and stay in the air longer.
The 1975 pair were the most talented duo of this group. One Hall of Famer and another uber LB whose drug use curtailed his career. Hollywood returned kickoffs before becoming a starter. A LB with 9.5 speed with an enormous football IQ. I say he was the most athletic LB ever for the Cowboys. Lawrence Taylor loved Hollywood so much he took his uniform number 56 when the Giants drafted him
The 1991 and 1992 pairs brought the Boys three Super Bowls.
DWARE was awesome, but Spears, a stalwart of a great LSU team, was no better than average for the Cowboys, a big disappointment.
