Uncalled for, I am not stupid. I do know what I am talking about. Don't think your opinion is always right. Because it is not.
And if I do not know something or unsure of, I will state it and ask about it.

Like I still do not understand all the 1 tech, 3 tech type stuff, nor have I tried to understand it. I just want them to make plays.
i want them to make plays as well

Ive played DT from High school to semi pro

1 Tech is over the centers shoulder theyre there to stop the rush in that alignment

3 tech is iver the guard outside shoulder thats a pass rush alignment

Either way like you say they need to make plays

Same guys had played better as a unit. They weren't elite under Quin but they weren't this bad the last couple years.

thanks for the info, it explains it better to me.

SF has legit starters on D. We don't. It's just not that complicated.
SF is the most injured team in the NFL. No Bosa. No Warner. On Sunday, they played Erik Kendricks who had played 10 snaps on defense prior to the playoff game. They don't make excuses. They are somehow motivated to tackle and it has to go back to coaching. Defense is more than just stacking talent.

Yes, I know they lost some studs. I'm not a SF fan and do not know their roster, but I'm betting dollars to doughnuts that they have better talent than we do. Hades, several college teams have better talent on D than we do!!!!!!

The first step on D is stacking talent. Yes, there is then more to it, but if you miss the first step, it just doesn't matter what you do.

Deepest apologies. Shouldn't have said that.

Absolutely. We need better talent and coaching. The scary part here is that the Giants look so much better talent wise and just hired Harbaugh. The Eagles will make a splash like they always do. I just don't see a path forward for Dallas at this point.

Im not sure you could say this years unit was the same as DQ's unit mostly diferent players i would say.. im not defending Eber im just saying ALOT of what DQ had was not on this unit or was injured..

There is always roster turning every year. Eberflus was here long enough to have input of who he needed to run his scheme. While he doesn't have total control he signed off on who they did sign and getting Micah traded. I'd have more respect for him if he said no or said hey we need better lb's asap. But he didn't that's why they let him go.

Defenses with worse talent then ours played leagues better than us. It's cope to just blame the players. Look at a team like Indiana who has zero blue chip players. Coaching matters way more than how many superstars you have.

you think he had a say in the roster, or the Micah trade.. im not so sure.. maybe though.

I am sure he said, I need zero talent and only injured players to make this defense works.
He could have said we need him for this to work. He didn't. He said I can scheme up pass rush, but couldn't.

They really didn't. I have no idea what you mean by cope.

It's shallow to not understand talent and what it means at the NFL level.

Scheming up pass rush w/ no talent doesn't work. Never has, no matter the coach.

A ton.

I've already told them this, but their agenda makes them deaf. Parsons, Armstrong, Golston, Kendricks, Gilmore, Gallimore, Hankins, Kearse, DLaw. I mean, it was pretty much a complete makeover. It's not even close to the same players.

The best coaches get the most out of their players. That did not happen last year. Why do you think other teams take the players we trash and they turn out to be decent starters like Nashon Wright, Maliek Collins, etc.

Malik Collins was not trashed. He was good here.

That is true, but the best coaches also need good players. We have like 1 or 2 on this D.
