John Harbaugh and Giants are working to finalize agreement to make him HC

Sean Payton has to show me something legendary this postseason. Otherwise it will be the same as it regards to re-treads...no one wins a chip with another team.
He's turned that whole team around. They hadn't even had a winning record since their last SB. And he did it while having to deal with Russell Wilson's contract. That is legendary. Wouldn't doubt they win a SB in the near future. You can't win a SB every year but at least you can compete. McCarthy is probably the best we can do here because the way Jerry operates this team. This team is cursed.

I'm not impressed by Harbaugh. A "CEO" style head coach who was given loaded roster after loaded roster, helmed by a 2x MVP quarterback, and never did anything with it.

The Ravens have had 10+ wins in 6 of their last 8 seasons, turned that into 6 playoff trips, and only appeared in one AFC Championship game. That's a nearly Cowboys level of playoff futility.

This could be an Andy Reid situation, where a new situation allows him to get over the hump. But to me it looks closer to a Pete Carroll situation, where the old dog just doesn't have any new tricks.

As far as the Giants, they gave Daboll more than enough chances to show that he wasn't the answer, so a change was due. But I'm not convinced that Harbaugh is their savior either. And for the Ravens, some kind of change was definitely due.
Sometimes you have a good regular season QB that just gags in the playoffs

If Bain Jr ends up in giants uniform these boys gonna be a problem for the east. If skattebo and Nabors recover from injuries

If coaching experience matters then three NFC East have Super Bowl coaches (two have won the SB). The Cowboys have a second year guy learning on the job.

If Harbaugh is still motivated and willing to still work hard then this was a good move by the NYG. Time will tell.

I guess I’m missing something here. Everyone is saying great things about the hire but he isn’t that much different than the Cowboys hiring McCarthy after he won a SB.

He hasn’t gone to an AFC championship game since winning the SB 13 years ago. The Giants should improve but this isn’t groundbreaking.

Baltimore lost in the AFCCG in 2023-2024 to KC.

Cowboys should be looking for an OC & DC let Schottenheimer coach.

Harbaugh ups the game here and he’s gonna bring an elite paid staff as well

Jackson Dart w McDaniel puts them in contention.

Philly is starting to dip as well.

Giants are perched for a resurgence like never before seen in the East.

They’re going to cleanup holes in FA splashing cash.

And we’re on the verge of Stephen presser telling us what set Aaron whitecotton apart from all the other candidates.

Harbaugh makes bad teams good, good teams good and great teams good

McCarthy had to put up with a meddling owner. Harbaugh doesnt.

OK, if Harbaugh is so good, then why did he consistently fail with the QB most think is one of the most dynamic?

I wasn’t talking about what Harbaugh is facing, I’m talking about his history.

He has a drought just like the Cowboys not going to a championship game, while having a top 10 QB when healthy since 2019 and a top 10 defense throughout his entire coaching career in Baltimore.

Sounds like Tomlin 2.0 except Harbaugh has won a few wild card games.
