Who’s gaslighting. I’ll take anyone to task on Goodell’s strong resume . He’s going to go down as one of the great Commish like Rozelle.

You put microsensors all over the ball, digitally map the field with a running clock for timestamps, and program a computer system to note the furthest distance forward the ball went on the grid prior to the whistle, which would also need to be linked to the program to tell it to stop. We don’t need total accuracy. I’m so tired of every TD and catch being reviewed. It’s ridiculous. The game is not meant to be played as such. Perfection isn’t required.
 
Fans just didn’t like how he suspended players for their personal conduct.

Leaving that to the refs leaves too much to chance. You have to wait for opportunities and if not and you force them, it's too obvious. Plus you have all these 7-man crews that need to be in on it to keep quiet. What I keep telling the conspiracy folk, that they back away from, is that the best way to rig a game is through the players. A QB is perfect since they handle the ball every play and can get you incompletions or picks whenever it's needed to influence the score. Plus, it's less people to influence. Pay him a little under the table, you know the result ahead of time to bet on it and no one's the wiser.

You remember against Washington when Dak threw a pick 6 ball that was dropped and then very next play ran the exact same play and it was picked for a score to seal the loss? Neil O'Donnell in our last Super Bowl victory. If you think debatable penalty calls are "blatantly obvious" evidence, what would you call these seasoned professionals doing bass-ackwards nonsense like that?

Perfection may not be required, but I would counter that 99%-100% correct calls should be mandatory. Technology can help reach or nearly reach that accuracy threshold.

Technology should never supplant human officiating. Refs are needed whether anyone likes or dislikes them. That said. modern (and future) technology should not be permanently sidelined (pun intended) because humans are stuck with antiquated thinking either.

Well, as I said later, they don't want total accuracy either because controversy sells. But this simple system I mentioned could be instituted effortlessly into the game. The system could spit out a spot and radio directly into a ref's earpiece or a guy in the booth to relay it immediately for the spot. They could have it before the pile unravels on the field. Fans would still complain and they'd have their controversy anyway but it's cheaper not to do it and still have it, lol.

What about the CTE issue which he navigated the league thru a settlement with former players for 700+ million which basically prevented a lawsuit from threatening the league .

And then led the league with stricter rules on head trauma . If such action hadn’t been implemented along with lawsuit settlement it’s likely Congress was willing to step in threatening the NFL’s solvency within Anti Trust laws which is the platform for the leagues success.
