I know many disagree, but if they can't work out a deal, Jerry will use the EXCLUSIVE franchise tag. He's NOT going to take a chance on another team dictating the terms of the amount and structure of Pickens contract.

But personally, I don't think it's getting to that coz Jerry is showing signs of paying Pickens what he wants ( Lamb money).

I have never heard Pickens say he wants Lamb money. I think the media is making this into some kind of drama. I wish that Jerry would offer him 25 million and see if he takes it.

I mean did we hear Lamb say it? It was just assumed that whenever Jefferson signed and Chase he would get under them. I don’t think a player would ever say their demands. Micah said he’d play for 35 million and didn’t need to be that highest paid.

that is the problem, we as fans dont get much info, we dont get to talk to him in person or his agent.
We dont know what jones boys are really thinking.
So how can any of us decide what to do or not do lol.

Agree with the logic in the tag strategy, but I’m not so sure it would work. Who exactly is giving up a pair of ones and also pay Pickens immediately?

One can figure it would determine his market value, but the agent will argue the compensation is why the offers aren’t higher, or there at all.

They need to either get it done quickly or let him go. The Micah act from last year was enough. Not again please.

It’s gonna cost, but they’ve gotta figure it out for a change. All these years of being cap frugal yet they are still up against it and have won nothing. How nice.
