Pickens isn’t sitting out one second of the 2026 season. If he has to play on the tag he will. $28+ million for the season. He’ll be there. No way he turns his back on $1.5 million per week for 18 weeks. Pickens is in a good place and he knows it.
It can certainly be done if we use our two first-round picks on starters and exchange some of our defensive dead weight for productive free agents. The draft and free agency are deep at linebacker, and I can see the Cowboys using both first-rounders on defensive backs.
Jerry just told the entire NFL world that he's looking forward to working out a long-term contract with Pickens. I think he means it.......I would suspect he already knows what Pickens's agent wants to get the deal done. In fact, I am willing to bet a red penny they have already exchanged framework numbers......but structural is key.
I don't see this ...........his locker room/teammates will clean this up. No player wants his locker room leadership in his face for doggin' it.

he shouldn't be pissed though. he would have no issues exercising his contractual rights. he should understand the team is doing the same. disappointed or frustrated would be more appropriate.
going into week 4, he had like 150 yards receiving. why would anyone be offering $30M\year at that time? He only had 5 games out of 17 with over 100 yards.
