The reason I don't give other fans too hard of a time, is that at least their team made it.
How long we been waiting now. I never see it posted on here 50,000 times a day. :lmao:

However he has been so arrogant about them and Drake Maye, it was nauseating. So I may not be able to resist.
The other 2 NE fans are usually pretty calm about football stuff. But I don't know how they are if they were to win.
I did give them a hard time about the Yankees losing though.

A few other NE bandwagon fans, I will see what their reaction is. They are only fans but never watch games, because family members are fans also and are from the NE area.

Another long time friend here, said he always liked NE. However he only likes teams that win. The biggest band wagoner of teams of all sports. I expect him to say in about 6 months, oh, I always liked Seattle.
Now him I do give a hard time over all "his" teams of all sports. Whoever wins.

Nate Thomas is not going to be a good LT. we saw enough to know that. Guyton right now is not a good tackle PERIOD. He flashes on some plays but is a dud on too many others. You are just moving a problem from one side of the line to the other

I never heard his music or seen him perform, so I gave it 5 minutes. Not for me, didn't care for it. So muted it.

I am sure, say, it some Jazz or Blues performance or Classic Rock band I listen to. I would have watched, and liked it.
As others would not have.
To each their own. Does not change my life or opinions.

Here I am as usual posting and checking the stock markets.

Well, I think he'd probably be a better RT than LT, and he probably can't be much worse than Steele. Plus, he played RT in college. So, I think the move for now should be move Guyton to RT and get better at LT in FA.

That's fair, though I like the coaching staff that we are assembling. I like the offense and Aubrey. I like our dline. I think, if we can get our LBers better and secondary better, we can make a lot of headway to a better 2026. If we can add in another pass rusher too, we can be a problem. That's the way I see it. Should be enough to make the playoffs and probably make a division round appearance. Would be a good first step.

I just do not see it ....... with Jerry and Stephen the bottom line has been how much money they can make the last few years.

It will take more than hiring 1 good coach to make me believe they have suddenly started to care about running the franchise correctly.

Especially when they still have a gimmick puppet as the head coach.

But I hope you are correct.

Honestly, I think Schotty proved to be a lot better than just a puppet. Plus, I don't blame him for Eberflus. Also, I don't think Parker is a typical Jerry hire. So, if he's actually allowing Schotty to hire his own coaches, then that's a good sign imo.

The question for me is, will Jerry realise we need more than just draft picks and actually get active in FA? As I've said, I'd love to see us get Dean, Singleton, Phillips, and maybe even Blankenship or P.J. Locke from Denver. I think the most expensive of the group might be Singleton. So, if they don't want to spend that much (even though we could free up enough cap space to get all of them and get Pickens tagged, along with signing Aubrey and Williams), the players I'm suggesting should be within their budget and can go a long way in fixing our defence.

Yeah but I don't think A tag is good for him as far as staying on it all year he will not be a happy camper I don't I think it would be a major mistake So yes get a long term deal done i'm OK with it but if you really want to build this similar to Seattle then you trade George Pickens get a first round pick maybe more save that 30 plus million dollars and build that defense build the tackle just build up the team quicker There would be less of a transition with this new defensive staff if you have the damn money and the resources in the draft..


It's just an idea and I know people want to keep him because they like pretty offense but I don't think we need him not if they do the defense the offensive line and the rest of it correctly..

Honestly, trading him is fine. But I think tagging him is the first step so that we CAN do that. But yeah, I'm fine trading him. We would just need to get a decent replacement so that we can have another good option opposite Lamb and besides Ferguson.

I mentioned this before look Sam Darnold in my opinion is not better than Prescott All he had was JSN and then a drop off to Cooper Cupp..

That's very similar with the Cowboys had when Brandon Cooks in 2023,

you don't need to have a George Pickens type besides the fact that they would get a wide receiver higher in the draft with all the extra draft picks and then you'd have guys like Flournoy and who knows what Holden can do Battling and in camp to see who could be the number two...

I'm not that scared or uncomfortable of Pickens being gone because I saw what Prescott could do with lamb and not a whole lot that year in 2023 to protect them, there was no coverage being pulled, there was no great run game, or second receiver, not even a really good tight end.

Really IMHO this offense is already better just because Brian Schottenheimer; the design of the run game along with the pass game being married a bit more, more disguised, more under center and motion,

so, if they could do that in 2023, I'm not worried about it just being lamb / Prescott as the main passing game.

No doubt imo. I agree that Dak is better than Darnold. I just think we need a good option. Let's be honest, Shaheed is a good receiver who made a big difference when they got him from New Orleans. JSN and Shaheed were a good duo. I'm not necessarily saying that it has to be Pickens, but I think we do need someone either as a deep ball threat like Pickens or someone else or a speedster like Shaheed to give us a legit option. Also, I think Kupp is a much better wr than he's given credit.

Unfortunately, Turpin isn't exactly a 2 WR lol. That's all I'm trying to say when it comes to WR. I think we don't necessarily need two 1s, but we do need a legitimate 2 to go opposite Lamb. I think someone like Atwell from the Rams, Jauan Jennings (49ers), or maybe even Shaheed (who's a FA) would be good options to replace Pickens and wouldn't be too expensive. I think a WR group of Lamb, Flournoy, and one of the options I'm suggesting would be nice. Especially if we can get Shaheed in the slot.

As for the Cowboys, now that the offseason has officially begun, I think it's time we look at what's next.

I think we've made some good hirings so far on the coaching staff. I think Parker was a good choice. I like the assistants that are being hired. I think it looks like we are trying to get this defence better.

I think the next thing is to tag Pickens and try to get a favourable deal on him. Get Aubrey extended, and then get as much talent on this defence as possible (and probably a RT to replace Steele).

I think if we can keep our offense explosive and Aubrey on target, and get our defence to at least middle of the pack in year 1 with Parker at DC, we have a shot to be a contender next season. If Jerry and the crew paid attention in this postseason, this is two years in a row where defence was crucial.

With that, Go Cowboys, and let's see what happens as the page gets turned to the 2026-2027 season.

Pickens needs to go. Compare Dak's stats from 2023(no Pickens) to 2025.

Trade Pickens and draft a rookie contract WR.

Fix the glaring problem staring everyone in the face - DEFENSE.

Well, or maybe sign a FA 2 WR. I'm thinking someone like a Shaheed, Jauan Jennings, Atwell, or maybe even a Zay Jones. They should be fairly cheap, and, with the added picks from trading Pickens, we can add more defence. Plus, we should be able to have enough cap space to add more talent like Alex Singleton, Dean, PJ Locke/Blankenship, and maybe even a Jaelen Phillips or a Denico Autry. I think those signings would go a long way in rebuilding the team. Especially since we also need to keep Aubrey.
