That is a fantastic gig to have. Practically everyone else talks about mundane yet more relevant stuff like what the chance of rain is on any given Tuesday. How does the person bringing up the topic get compensated?
They don't, but they can feel satisfied that someone else listened to (and maybe even learned) something that actually made sense. On the other hand, Cowherd's extremely well-paid satisfaction comes from opening his mouth, knowing others will take a microsecond out of their day to listen to what spills out of it, like, "There's never been a warm-weather dynasty."
