The former third-round pick owns the type of athleticism and playmaking that could get him paid this offseason. In four seasons in Philly, the off-ball linebacker proved he could get after the quarterback (7.5 sacks) and patrol the middle of the field. However, an extensive injury history could curtail his payday. The defender hasn’t played a full slate since 2017, missing 21 missed regular-season games over the past three seasons alone, and was out for most of Philly’s Super Bowl run in 2024. Teams generally shy away from spending big on players with long-term durability questions, which could put Dean on a short-term prove-it path.

Same here.......my understanding is his leadership is off the chart, and he's like a 2nd coach on the field. I would be really surprised if he's NOT a priority target for Parker.

Malik Hooker is a guy who was always missing games until he got to Dallas and he’s had a relatively good run only missing nine games in 5 years.

We’ll see about Dean.

Agreed, it's hard to justify roster spots for 2 lbs that have missed significant time. However, the Cowboys have rolled the dice on guys like Marc Columbo and Malik Hooker. Both talented but injured players that turned it around with the Cowboys. Sometimes getting a fresh training routine can make all the difference and that's what you would hope for with Dean if he is brought in.

Can't disagree as it pertains to either player.

Quincy at least is a former All-Pro. I would be ok with him as a low cost signing as long as LB is a draft priority as you said.

Williams playing with his brother again may be enticing to him. But, I can see him wanting to sign in Tennessee with Saleh and Whitecotton.

I prefer Chenal over Dean - size, power advantages as well as the fact that he’s been relatively healthy. Between college and the NFL, he’s basically played every LB spot and played them well. He seemed very instinctive as and ILB in Wisconsin’s 3-4 scheme and played SAM for the Chiefs.

So he’s basically Sean Lee? Unlikely to play but great if he does and really smart.
