Rumors Cowboys front office getting into verbal disagreements with agents

I’m shocked !! Shocked I tell you.. Jerry will grab his ankles later, but for now, he pretends to be firm and confident. Not surprised since he’s admitted he hates to deal with agents.

As for proof, I don’t need to touch the sun to know it is very hot, the Pope is Catholic and Jerry is a drunk.

damn even you post a MILLION emojis too!!!!! Your massive amount of words are currently jealous right now!!!!!!
The kettle calling to pop black is it not I just happen to respond in kind you had a whole bunch of hammers so I had to make sure I neutralized your hammers with corresponding, emojis seems fair to me.

They mis-read the tea leaves again.

This should have been somewhat predictable, once they announced Pickens was going to be tagged. Now Dallas has to figure out what transition tag to put Aubrey on.

If they use a 1st round tag, I doubt anyone would be willing to give up a 1st round pick, but we would have to pay him $8.1M.

Oh hell no, tender him and see what happens

..yep, everyone wants cheddar. But on the field they leave meat on the bone.

You guys kill me as if this front office does everything perfect!!!! Do you not think that super agents Todd Frances and David Mulughetta hate dealing with Jerry and stephen based on how they do their clients??? They wait, the bash their clients, they stall etc etc, they go through the media instead of the agents
I do not believe Jerry or Stephen are going to be anything but business like in their dealings with players’ agents. Nor they with Jerry or Stephen.

The stakes are too high for both parties to allow themselves to be pulled into anything less than professional behavior.

Agree. High level negotiations need to have level, measured heads and at worst should be settled with Rock, Paper, Scissors as a last resort.

This is how the FO does business. It's funny. I don't hear any of this from other teams.
Jerry’s idea of deal making always seems to be contentious

He’s the kind of guy back in the old days that would shake your hand on a deal and then after you left the saloon have his gun hands beat the tar out of you and dump you out back.

There’s a first time for everything but thirty years of Jerry’s negotiations pretty much make that idea DOA

amazing what happens when players and agents are REASONABLE. Did Jevontae drag out forever? So Jerry is supposed to just pay the kicker 10 million? Nearly double the next highest paid kicker? Supposed to just make Pickens the highest paid guy in football? This seems to always happen with COWBOYS players because the media just keeps writing more and more putlandish crap for clicks. So the dollar amounts keep going up and up and up?
Javontae’s agent did not get him the best deal available. Not by a long shot.

Wait until you see Walker, who is no better than Williams and Hall, who is marginally better, get their deals.

It’s easy to seem generous and professional when the other party isn’t negotiating as hard as you are.

The clash of realities when the most valuable franchise is as cheap as the Bengals can't be lost on those involved in negotiations. Jerry is the modern day J. Paul Getty. I'm not going to lie, though. The thought of Stephen having his ear chopped off isn't making me want to skip lunch.
Why a great reference and an apt comparison

At one time the Agents LOVED talking with the Cowboys.
Heck they could get the Cowboys to get into bidding wars with a player even if they were the only ones bidding.

Brandon Carr might have been the last one outside FA they spent big money on. Now they only spend on their own and currently the three players they traded for in Pickens, Clark and Q.

But Once Jerry gave stephen the keys to the chastity purse they have been way to stingey.

No clue if they try to actually get good FAs this year.

People leak things to gain leverage.
how would leaking things to the media gain leverage for the player or agent??
I dont think either the player or the agent cares, but evidently the players might, as aubrey reacted to the
10 mil tweet.

I would just laugh at them , as the people have no say whatsoever in any contract.

All 32 teams go thru these gymnastics. Normal part of the business. Because its the cowboys, its drama the media creates.
