The rest of the division has blown by us

Washington doesnt scare me- at least not yet. I'm not sold on their head coach and QB to win big.

the NYG however, I think they are going to be much better. Their QB has to stop thinking he's a fullback though.

Well, he’s probably right. Those two players alone will not get us to the top twenty

I suppose if both first rounders are home runs, we could squeak in just under 20, but this is a two year project to get to middle of the pack.

We need eight starters on defense

No, not true. Not true at all. With the new players they’ve gotten so far, the new players they’ve yet to sign, the draft and the entire new defensive coaching staff the defense could be top 15.

Im sure we will get LBs. We even did so last. The issue isnt if we will sign some LBs or other players, it is whether any will be quality starters. Guys like Murray, Sanborn, udfa’s isnt going to cut it.
The best chance is drafting one in the 1st round. But even then it’d be a big ask for him to be an impact starter his rookie year.
 
Kids the Cowboys are league bottom feeders. The owners also hate their fans. They lie all the time to sell merch and tickets but the actions are clear. They are not serious about winning. Period. Why don't more people see this?

Did you realistically believe it could be done in one off season? There are 31 other teams competing for FAs. I was hopeful but didn’t think it would happen in one year. But dang it, we really need LBs.

Seattle and New England just did it. You know, the two teams in the SB.
 
They lost 3 middling starters (by their standards). They still have 2 great DTs, 2 all pro CBs, and one of the best LBs in football. So no, there's no way you can say we've appreciably closed the gap with them by adding one solid safety and a washed DE.
