Did you realistically believe it could be done in one off season? There are 31 other teams competing for FAs. I was hopeful but didn’t think it would happen in one year. But dang it, we really need LBs.

Can we stop with the one off season stuff? Cowboys have been a losing team out of the playoffs for 2 years now.

Personally, I think the Defense will be better even if it's most of the same players. We still have a draft too, and free agency and trades are still ongoing. I think if the offense stays prolific and the defense improves, say 20th instead of 32nd, then they'll make the playoffs. I still don't have confidence they're capable of making it to the NFCC, but I'm not going to call it now that they'll be terrible. We have a new DC with a scheme that isn't completely outdated and he understands the need to disguise things. Are there concerns? Sure. But there's still a lot of off-season moves that can be done. Let's see what the roster looks like come game 1.

It's been a different offseason so far than we have seen in a while whether you want to admit it or not

LOL. Really? The Eagles have added to their team? So far they replaced Goedert with Mundt....downgrade. Woolen is inconsistent....kind of like Treyvon Diggs was. Makes a few plays, gives up a fair amount. Kept a guy that they already had. Dallas already claimed reserve/futures deals back in January.

Meanwhile, the Eagles lost Dean. They lost Phillips, who was their only legit DE. They lost all their other DE's. They lost Blankenship. They have two OL that are on the verge of retiring....you know what they say when they are thinking about it: it means they probably should. Their primadonna WR hates his QB and the QB refused to run the offense how it was designed.

The Eagles lost a few starters and a decent amount of depth. The funny thing is that one could easily find posters claiming that Dean and Blankenship aren't good and weren't needed here. Blankenship was just about the worst cover safety in the league last year. Woolen is much better than Adoree Jackson or Kelee Ringo, so that's an upgrade. They lost two backup o-line that performed well enough when put into the lineup, and they must fill those holes in case Dickerson never returns to good health (I'm guessing the Eagles will be smart enough to allow Dickerson and Jurgens to actually heal before playing this year).. Their backup TE just resigned, and they are probably drafting a TE in one of the first two rounds anyway. They drafted Dean's replacement last year. Like us, they need another safety and a top edge rusher. Unlike us, they have two AP1 DB's and an AP linebacker, along with a very promising 2nd-year LB in Campbell.

I will say this now: If the Eagles don't get out of the first round in 2026, Sirianni is gone, and Hurts will follow him out the door after 2027.

The thing the other teams have that we haven't had in a long time is hope and excitement. The Eagles are the Eagles. Giants and Commandos have young exciting highly drafted QBs that may or may not pan out, but it's fun to watch as a fan. Meanwhile we are staring at another season of mediocrity and " let's run it back AGAIN."

Every team has holes to fill. Eagles aren’t the champions. They face the same challenges most other teams do. I doubt they anticipate challenging for the Super Bowl this season. And they’ve been successful in recent years. Let them have a couple of down years. Philly and KC are boring. Eagles have a good foundation in place. Know the players they want to keep. Know how to work the salary cap. They’ll be back again soon enough.

Question is will the Cowboys FO get it done before the wretched Giants work their way into the Super Bowl conversation?
