Emmanuel Acho Brilliantly Breaks Down Trades That Fits For The 3-4

We do now.

Osa would have been a great backup to Williams. Probably the top backup in the league. But a backup isnt worth what he was getting paid.

He could end up being very productive for the 9ers. Basically a win win for both teams.
I didn't expect him to be a backup in the 3-4, even after we got Ogbonnia, who seems more like depth on a one-year, $3 million contract. I expected Osa to be a starting 3-4 end. Apparently, Parker doesn't feel he's a fit for that, or Thomas either.

The Cowboys spent a lot of time with the DT's at the combine. A lot!
Yeah. I dismissed it at the time because I thought we were set at DT, but then we got rid of Winfrey and now have traded away Osa and Thomas. Suddenly, we don't have much depth and may be short one starter.

He wants size and length on the DL. Osa didnt fit that.

Starter - Clark - 6’3” 314
backup - Ogbonnia - 6’4” 320
backup - Toia - 6’2” 342
Dont see OO as the nose. And unless Toia makes a huge jump, he may not be on the roster once the season starts.

Williams can play the NT as well. But we are really thin across the board on the DL now. Good thing the draft is deep at DL. Now we just need a couple more day 2 picks.

He talks too much for a player that was meh
And you talk way too much for never have been a player, It's the man's job..... you jelly? :muttley:

You know if it was AA negative review of our offseason you would have applauded it and said best post of the day winner winner chicken dinner that's how it works around here anything said negative you all agree with these so called experts but if there's any positive spin on it it's straight trash..

No, you're thinking completely different, you're thinking to the 43 schemes, they're not going to be using the same front as they used to use..

you think they're purposely trying to thin down the herd and when eat all that money to get rid of OSA because they ate like 16 mil they could have got rid of Clark for FREE, or they could have kept both they had choices..

the way they redid Gary's contract etc and Redid Clark, they could have if they wanted to afforded keeping them all, and they're making calculated choices..

They know exactly what they need, And they'll address it but I most of the time when you're talking about the interior D line that you're suddenly overly focused on it's a 3 down line What we need is more linebackers some better player at least one at OLB our pass rushers on the wide sides of the line that's what a 3-4 is and the way they're talking about position flex..

if they're going to run other multiples but we no longer going to have 4 to 5 lineman up on the line with their hand down, That's not how this system is going to work and that is why they're making the moves that's it it's scheme fit they're not watering down their depth on purpose they're keeping the right guys and adding a few others..

So we can get back to worrying about who are going to be our outside linebackers our middle linebacker because linebackers are going to be important, but I think they're fine on the IDL and at safety right now..

I hope the next move is bringing in a guy like oh Okereke, why are they waiting just bring the guy in, I know you have PTSD from the linebacker group you brought in last year now they're worried about the level of talent but just get the guy in here That would make me feel a little more comfortable going into the draft...

But right now, our priorities are shifting MLB, OLB, & LT

Those are the three positions I see we absolutely have to address both still in free agency a trade and the draft we need to get those starting linebackers and their depth.

Every time you say that my post was not long in those times so you can keep going back and trying to use that stupid narrative that doesn't fit you don't like it because I just handed it to you,

mic drop

If they are using a three-man line, they have to have at least three starters and a backup or two on the DL. I'm not sure that we have that unless Ogbonnia and his cheap, one-year contract is considered a starter.

I understand why they got rid of Winfrey, Osa and Thomas, but that doesn't mean they didn't hurt their depth for now. I'm sure we'll add a DT or two in the draft, and they may not do anything more at the position in FA. I also don't think they will do anything more at OLB or anything at LT, other than maybe re-signing Adeniji as a backup.

My initial thought was that he would be the nose, but we may see Ogbonnia right now as the second DE in the three-man alignment. I think he'll ultimately end up a rotation player, but maybe they think more of him than that.

Acho has a good idea of what it takes to make the 4-3 switch to the 3-4 if anyone does. Pay heed.

Let's face it -- Jerry & Son have been hanging around far too long not to listen to those who know.

At long last, they actually appear to be listening to some folks who've "been there and done that."

There will definitely be various talent available in the upcoming draft that will satisfy some needs.

The purpose of the exhaustive coaching search was to have assistants ready to move up to keep continuity. So if everything works out we’ll be running this scheme for a long.
They went over this during the PC, they built the staff to withstand your issue.
