So I guess we’re just screwed. Don’t want to draft anyone and we should keep a kicker who doesn’t even help us make the playoffs. I think I’ll just become a Browns fan and be done with it.

Man it’s truly some amazing logic. When have the Cowboys or any team said damn you know what we would’ve made it to the SB if we didn’t trade our kicker lol….

I think you missed my point and maybe my sarcasm wasn’t clear. We haven’t drafted well lately but it feels like many believe we shouldn’t even draft anymore. Just bypass it completely since we have no chance of getting a good player. Might as well save the cap space by not paying a draft class.

I would have to look at the stats to see where they rank. Its a luxury until you lose an important game because of a kick or you have multiple misses during the game and lose the game by 3.

Im not saying pay aubrey 10 mill, but they can do some other creative things to get him to stay. Kickers are damn near kicking from the 50 yard line now and are scoring tons of points a year. They are worth 2-3% of the annual cap.

Naw I got it I was agreeing with you lol. I was saying these guys have this fear of the 2nd round because of past busts. It’s silly. Anyone offers you a second for a kicker you take it.

That’s kind of my point though. All of these kickers are kicking from 50 and scoring points. What made him special was his ability to kick from 50 plus. But with the new kick guidelines and rules it’s made a lot more kickers good and I see nothing special about him that you can’t see in someone else.

Someone needs to sit Aubrey down and explain to him the inherent value of being a Dallas Cowboy. He's not even the best NFL kicker in Texas and yet everyone knows his name and he's a celebrity. Quick: who's the texans kicker? Thats the point. The only reason Aubrey is a celebrity who makes 21k a month from social media and even more in guest appearences is bc he kicks for the Dallas Cowboys.
