With the well running dry, the Dallas Cowboys still have 12 players of their own that have not either re-signed or signed with another team yet.

Most of them are depth guys, but this team might have no choice but to bring three of them back, and that is their own fault.

All three of these are on the defensive side of the ball, and not George Pickens does not count, since he has been tagged, but, of course, they need to get a contract done with him so he can be with the team long term.

Fowler … no. He’s not better than Gary, Ez or Houston. He also likely wants more than a minimum deal

Except for Clowney, I don't see this at all. Seems to me CP has little or no use from most players on the historically worst defense from last season and rightfully so. As for Clowney, he knows he has some serious skin on the wall from last season. He will take his time unless he gets an offer he can't refuse. I'm confident he likely has a standing offer already from Stephen Jones......

I can see bringing Clowney back, but the man is a mercenary who will go to the highest bidder.

And after the trade for Rashan Gary, Clowney would be a rotational player at this point.

I think they’ve made it clear that they weren’t happy with Donovan Wilson’s play. They’ve signed not one, but two safeties already.

And Fowler would be another rotational player. Maybe they’ve made consider bringing him back if they’re somehow wiped out in the draft.

Huh? Fowler is a better pass rusher than anyone currently on the team. With the worst linebackers in the league, Wilson at least attacks downhill as a 3rd safety. Donovan made more plays then Hooker ever did.

You only bring Clowney back for 1 reason, if we had a chance at the playoffs, we dont nor do we need to this year. Sorry guys, this isnt our year. We either commit to building or waste the future trying to grab at something we arent right now.

No to all 3. I cant believe this board, (which is said every year) you have to bring in new guys, turn stones and get players that will not fit the new scheme but buy into it. We have to get younger to build a better foundation.
