“would make Dak the MVP”? You need to put down the pipe.
Believe it. I am one of the biggest Dak critics on here. So that is saying something. Dak excels when he is not pressing and trying to win the game. Garrett would make the D Line one of the most fearsome in the league. The type of line that can control a game and win a game on their own effort

Dak would coast through the season and put up big numbers and he will be on the winning end of many games. Against big opponents that he hasn't been able to beat before. He would not just be feasting in the bottom dwellers

A trade for Garrett makes too much sense

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned. If Garrett gets to choose I believe he would favor Dallas

Any 30 year old professional football player that’s never won a Super Bowl, given the choice, would definitely not choose to play for the Dallas Cowboys.

The notion “of course he wants to come home” is just Cowboys Fan Wishful Thinking. It’s an offseason thing. Given a choice I’m sure he’d choose the Rams or Chargers. For obvious reasons.

But that's wrong You have to stop having pictures of having a great player to get yourself pumped up to watch the Cowboys that's all great..

When you can go out and buy a jersey and cheer for you know get your spirits up but if it doesn't benefit the whole entire team if it truly doesn't move the entire team to another level especially on defense which we've already seen this with a bunch of other great pass rushers or a great player at one position cannot carry the entire group..

Be an improvement but the Cowboys are nowhere near that right now.. Reason Green Bay did what they did with Parsons is they felt like he was the answer to elevate them the last piece they were willing to pay more both in draft capital and money to make it happen and unfortunately for parts since he got hurt but fortunately for us well it made the trade feel better 'cause I didn't do anything that they couldn't have done before him and without him the year before..

Again that's the point Crosby Garrett Parsons TJ why all these great pass rushers cannot do it alone and many times even when they were playing great like Garrett last year it didn't even elevate the defense as much as it has in the past because there's too many holes for a good offense to exploit and just go away from and try to neutralize them in ways that we saw Parsons get neutralized here even with good stats it doesn't impact the team deep enough to make your old chips in we are not one player away we are not at that point..
Remember. Prescott put up 40 points against Parsons and Gary. 3TDS, no picks, over 300 yards and a passer rating of 124.9. The Packers had ONE sack on the night (Parsons). And that was it. Dak simply got rid of the ball quickly and it neutralized for the most part the Packer's rush. And that was with a not fully intact o-line iirc. Garrett would be a substantial addition but there are a lot of question marks for the defense this year.

Hopefully, the Browns trade him to the Cowboys. He has the no trade clause that he would waive to go to the Cowboys and the Cowboys have the draft picks.
Have you factored in the most prohibitive factor in this scenario? The 41 million dollar cap hit the Browns will have to take should they trade Garrett BEFORE June 1. At present, with their draft class factored in, they only have 9 - 10 million of available cap space. I only see one guy with a big contract left for a potential restructure (Denzel Ward). It makes much more sense to trade him post June 1. But they haven't even indicated that they are looking to move Garrett...and Garrett hasn't officially requested a trade. This is all speculative, slow news click-bait at present. Low-hanging fruit. Nice to fantasize about I guess.

It also means he's in total control and the Browns would have no choice but to make a deal with the Cowboys.

No way they're going to try enforc ed the best defensive player in the NFL to play for them if he's not happy.
But who says that he's not happy? The Browns haven't even indicated that they want to trade him. Garrett hasn't requested a trade. A lot of this is simply speculative hype and most are completely missing the significant cap hit the Browns will incur should they trade Garrett before June 1. That alone makes any trade before June 1 rather prohibitive. 41 million dollars is an appreciable amount of cap space. They only have about 9 - 10 million (after accounting for their draft class expenditures) at present.

This is wishful thinking season, not rational thinking season.

I didnt say of course he wants to play for the Cowboys. I said that he might be inclined to favor them because he would be coming home.

He would make the Cowboys a team that would be mentioned to win it all

Also interesting that the Browns are wanting to change the rules on trading future draft picks. It will be voted on next week.

Have the Browns come out and say they did this to make him more tradable. Or just for cap relief.

I have not seen they said they did it to make him more tradable.

No, can’t give up that much capital. We aren’t 1 player away from the superbowl

No. He wouldn’t.

I think, or hope, that most of us know this. Doesn’t hurt them to fantasize though.

What rule changes are they proposing? I haven’t seen it anywhere.
