Machota: Cowboys looking for a nickel corner

Outside corner is harder to play than slot.
It's the opposite in today's NFL. In the slot you have to deal with the receiver being able to use the entire field and inside/outside route combinations. Outside corners can use the sideline as their ally and only worry about protecting their boundary. Playing the slot is extremely demanding.

His salary dictates that he has to be more than a nickle.
Nah. He still plays "starter" snaps just moves inside in nickel. It's no different than basically every top WR in the league running routes from the slot.

..first you have to find the Penny corner. Than work on the nickel.

Did he get all those pick 6s on the outside or playing slot?

here’s an idea, let’s wait a month after FA starts and then start looking for one!

You don’t draft a nickel cornerback with a first round pick. In this draft there are plenty of cornerbacks that can play nickel in the 4th and 5th round.
Especially that guy. Id rather take Kionte Scott, Malik Muhammad, or Chandler Rivers in later rounds.

Noooooo. We do not need Bland on an island. Slot is his best position.
Even if he has said he wants to play outside, he needs to perform better for what we pay him….his was a dumb contract….he was payed for his one good (with some luck) season….he wasn’t worth what we paid him….so if he performs better in the slot, they need to put him on the slot.
