I came in to say the same thing. This is the annual OMG they got another weapon they won’t use deal.

They traded for Tank and they freaked out.

Its depth with upside in any event. They may want to be in position to flip Brown regardless of not having any deal in place now. A lot of things happen on draft day.

I think Wicks has upside. All of Green Bay’s receivers were pretty solid last year.

It’s just depth. He’s a $3m guy. He’s not expected to start or even be #3.

They gave him a $12.5 million extension so he's making a little over $16 million over the next two years. He's been a decent possession receiver for the Packers. Not a move I would want.

Well being that Wicks couldn’t start over Pickens, Lamb, Turpin, Fluornoy either? He too would be 50/50 active here. He’d be right next to Mingo on the bench.

Seriously. This guy doesn’t move the needle. I believe they’ll trade Brown after June 1st. He doesn’t want to be there. He’s expensive. But this guy isn’t his replacement. Just trading picks they’ve collected from other teams for guys to fill out the 90 players they’re allowed to bring to training camp. Eagles might send a 2027 7th for Mingo over the weekend. Why not?

I don’t know what they should or shouldn’t do, but every team is doing what they can to enhance their roster. It’s not like they just traded for an All-Pro receiver.
