He's the chalk favorite to be the pick tonight.

Take a look at the poll results.

Currently at...

Downs 55%
Styles 32%
Bain 7%
Delane 6%

Well of course fans would want Downs or Styles.
But unless they trade up they probably do not get them.
I think Delane does not fall to them either.
Bain at this point might be the most likely to fall.
Bain is an absolute beast. I don't care if he had no arms. His tape is good against top level competition too. I'll take him all day at 12 and be happy.

The first pick needs to be a tone setter for the team. Struggling to see how picking a safety or off ball linebacker achieves this. Styles is amazing so is Downs but we need power and edge rushers. To me, Bain or the OU kid achieves this. R Mason Thomas the edge/olb from OU is a dog. A hardworking Jessie as they say. Tone setter. I didn't know who he was admittedly just two days ago but studying his tape, listening to projections, he fits what we need I just wouldn't take him at 20. I'd see about dropping down about 4-5 spots, picking up a 2nd rounder. Use that 2nd rounder on a green dot Linebacker. If we drop back to 24 or 25, that's where I take my edge rusher/olb. If he isnt there, take corner . Maybe Hood.

We also need smart players though and Downs and Styles are incredibly smart.

Watched Delane. Not seeing the hype match the tape. Hes good but frankly, I see better dB's in this draft later. He reminds me too much of the guy that just flamed out here in Dallas . I rather have the Brandon cisse kid.

I agree, but it's scary. So many dominant college guys with short arms are NFL busts.

Bain is possibly the exception.

Also good to see that people have Downs ahead of Styles.
Agree. I think Dallas should go get him with the Cardinals pick. Downs looks like a huge difference maker.

Arizona probably wants Smithson.

Bain would be my second choice out of the group, so that’s nice.

Delane just seems like a mid-tier starter to me. But that is the kind of draft this is.
Yip. Taking a safety that early , especially moving up to do it, seems like a waste of draft capital. His size worries me too. I don't think hes the best safety in the draft.

Hes probably the least exciting out of the big six, but if the other five are gone id rather Delane than anyone else.

They say the biggest question is how he fits the system as a stand up wide rusher from the LB position, remembering that those wide stand up edges have to also be able to drop in coverage. If not, then the flexibility of the scheme suffers.

He's an irrelevant player. Provides zero impact.
Bain makes the most sense at 12 unless we drop back. Bain Williams Gary would be starters in our 3-4. That is major beef and power up front. Especially if you consider the guys we signed too. Clark would be a rotation guy. Bain makes too much sense and fills a need.
