Drafted by Cowboys No. 92 pick - Michigan ED/LB Jaishawn Barham

Great, but lasted until almost the end of the 3rd round?
I think that's because he transitioned to pass rusher last year and isn't a perfect fit for that at 240 pounds. It appears that we may view him as a off-ball linebacker, which he played in 2024 and where he might have more value. Michigan may have hurt his stock by deciding it needed him at DE.

Means Clowney isn't coming back and Williams is most likely on the bubble. I'd say pre-injury Williams is probably his ceiling, love to be proven wrong.
Pay attention. GM already said he isn't like a month ago

I havent seen enough of him to judge myself.

But from what Ive seen, Id call him more of a low budget Sonny Styles.

I think Reese is ahead of him as a rusher.

What I like is that he moves really well and is violent. Has a lot of experience as an off ball backer.
Yeah he was a starter since his freshman year.

Would we literally be calling them "great" too?
Some would yes. Happens every draft and pretty much every pick in the nearly two decades I've been here. And if you don't believe that your lying to yourself.

I do. I don't think we liked any of the available linebackers as much as this guy, so we'll try to play him inside first.

So, so far, our defensive depth would be:

DE Quinnen Williams/Adedayo Odeleye
NT Kenny Clark/Jay Toia
DE Otitto Ogbonnia/Jonathan Bullard

OLB Donovan Ezeiruaku/Malachi Lawrence/Marist Liufau/Isaiah Land
ILB DeMarvion Overshown/Shemar James
ILB Dee Winters/Jaishawn Barham/Justin Barron
OLB Rashan Gary/Justin Houston/Sam Williams/Tyrus Wheat

CB DaRon Bland/Cobie Durant/Josh Butler/Caelon Carson/Derion Kendrick
S Jalen Thompson/Malik Hooker/PJ Locke/Julius Wood
S Caleb Downs/Markquese Bell/Alijah Clark
CB Shavon Revel/Reddy Steward/Zion Childress/Corey Ballantine/Trikweze Bridges

To me, it looks like we're short on competition at the DE/NT spots and need at least one more ILB competitor. We could try to improve the outside corner depth as well.
Pretty spot on. Land may get looks at ILB.

Expect us to get 1 or 2 more DL and a CB with our 3 4ths.

That crackpot Dallas Cowboys defensive front 7 scouting staff continues to impress...LOL

My gosh its become an extreme In Parker We Trust defensive situation.
smdh

He's a JAG-

Dallas always rolling the dice on reclamation projects. This is one time they should have, roll the dice and take McCoy .

Kid is dynamic and versatile. Can rush, play inside and pretty much do everything.

Loves the game and is a massive film nerd. Just plays like his hair is on fire and loves to hurt people. Most film is he is knocking down OL who weigh 100+ more pounds than him.

I like this one more than Lawrence.
Nice, that’s encouraging to hear.
