Michael Trigg

Did you post the right link?

Troy Aikman has praised Dak Prescott’s accuracy, completion rate, and overall confidence, highlighting that Prescott is effectively executing plays and performing well within the Cowboys’ offense.

Reads more like praise….
none of that stuff matters if you can’t put the ball where you have to put it,” adding that he had “seen too many errant throws”

If that reads like praise to you, then I understand your confusion on the subject.

So now your proof is a quote from 2018? 8 years ago? You’re on a roll now….have anything from last year or I don’t know in the 2020s?

you said no evidence existed. no matter what I present you try to dismiss or act like it's a compliment. LOL, you are the one on a roll.

It clearly says the quote was from 2021, yet you somehow come up with "2018". How does that fit your post 2020 request.

it really wouldn't hurt that much to just admit his flaws. you should try it sometime. you would feel better & not have to work so hard trying to convince others they don't exist.

You try to make it seem like Dak downright sucks. That is not true. And he isn’t the best either. Watching Dak throw during the carnival game was cringe but we don’t know how hard he tried and I hope he didn’t. I remember seeing him in some NFL contest and he did okay, much better than that carnival game.

I’m not trying to convince anything. I’m not here to convince you of anything. My opinion is Dak is a good QB. I don’t care what number or any of that. I literally said above his play in the playoff is a problem and has been.

I don’t expect for us all to agree. I just asked are you trolling because initially you used the Carr video as evidence he has issues with accuracy.

Then you relied on some old Aikman quotes.

Then you relied on your “eye test”. And if I didn’t think more of you as a poster I wouldn’t have even asked these questions because I get some people troll for engagement. I just didn’t know you were one of those guys.

So does this mean Herbert isn’t occurate?

That’s what’s funny. They never mention his dude perfect videos….

Or the Dak v Herbert video

Compared to who? King Kong buddy?
Lets see…..he was a WAC decathlon champion and an NCAA All-American in track who had a 4.5-40 speed.

Key Athletic Achievements:
  • Track & Field: Set school records at Wyoming in the decathlon, placed 4th at the 1984 NCAA Track and Field Championships, and competed in the 1984 Olympic trials.
  • High School (Gothenburg, NE): Set a Nebraska state record in the pole vault (15 ft 1 in, later 16 ft) and was an All-State quarterback.
Athleticism can take on many different forms.

I literally said above his play in the playoff is a problem and has been. That is fine. If you want to say the evidence I presented doesn't sway you, great. But don't say that what I presented wasn't legit, or reaching or old or trolling.

These things aren't "random" or "relied" on. They were direct counter points to your comments saying he is amongst the best at tight window throws and that no one had ever said he had accuracy issues.

If you wanna respect me, acknowledge legitimate counter points rather than try to dismiss anything I say with some excuse. I may never change your mind, that's fine. But at least acknowledge that a lot of people have always questioned his accuracy (Troy amongst them) based on their individual "eye test", his performance against Carr was embarrasing for ANY QB much less an NFL QB.

When you don't do those things, it seems like you are trolling.

The 25-year-old Cowboys quarterback's 61.8 percent completion rate is good for 28th in the league, one spot in front of Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles.

That's in the article you quoted. Dak was 25 in 2021? I'm not a Dak fan but you haven't provided any legit evidence if THAT is all you have.

I have not attempted to address completion percentages in this thread. The quote was provided as proof that "legit" NFL folks have questioned or outright said that Dak isn't as accurate as you would like your starting NFL QB to be.

Of course it's not all the evidence that exists. This is a message board, I'm just giving quick, easy reasons why the "statistical" narrative that he is among the best tight window throwers doesn't hold up to any level of reasonable scrutiny given the decade of evidence we all have. Not trying to enumerate every piece of evidence.

Good lord, Cowboys content creators have Trigg taking Schoonmaker’s place. Trigg will be lucky if he makes the practice squad.

The Novachek that was helping the Cowboys win a super bowl was in his 30s. While he may have been good at things like POLE VAULT and had good speed when he was 23 years old, the 32 year old TE helping the Cowboys win a SB was not "Athletic," in the terms we now think of when describing a modern TE. Now way, no how.

These aren’t legitimate counter points. You are posting articles from 2018. You’re going by eye test. Dismissing statistical evidence. Carr video.

You aren’t being serious. Notice how you completely ignore the Herbert video or the Dude Perfect videos. Just as childish as the Carr video but won’t acknowledge it. This is a trolling tactic which is why I asked.

And this is what I’m saying. He’s posting things from 2017 that I agree with. Dak struggled that year for sure. But he’s being disingenuous and using that as if it’s relevant to 2025 or even the 2020s….and he’s lying saying it’s from 2021 lol.
