Let's see him play first. The San Diego Chargers were pretty high on Ryan Leaf back in 1998 when they drafted him 2nd overall. That didn't turn out so well, did it....

I'm certainly not saying Downs will be a bust, but I'm hesitant to put him up on a pedestal before he's played his first game. The NFL isn't the same as college - he might excel, but he might not.

True, but the odds are 95% that he's at least a perennial pro bowler.

This ain't your average first-rounder. He and Love are almost certain superstars.

Fine - guess we'll see.

By the way, I hope the goal isn't pro bowls, but rather the game played the following week. Tom Brady once said he doesn't give a spit about pro bowls, he wanted to compete for Lombardi's. I wish everyone in Frisco had the same mindset.

I know you like eating crayons, but what about crow? If he turns out to be a bad *** like you, will you eat some, or continues to bash our players like Mountaineer does just to be that person who's always wants to take the negative side?

I'm with you on pro bowls. That's why I said 95%.

I'd say 85% for all-pro.

And 75% Hall of Fame.

He has every single one of the traits of the greats, and he looks like he absolutely loves football. Knows it like a coach already.

I could easily see him being the head coach of an NFL team in 20 years, too.

Dude has the most IMMEDIATE presence of anyone we've drafted in decades.
